Updated my PS3 with Rorger CFW 4.55, Its sable but you might lose disk-less game loading, you need to have a BRay Disk loaded in the PS3 before mounting games from external drive or the game will crash back to XMB. Games copied to internal HDD work disk-less just fine. Apparently there is something wrong with muultiman BD-Emulator.

almost all recent custom firwares can .. you can either just get the PSN versions of PS2 classics that are officially available (from sources like psnstuff, in those cases you just gotta install them and play) .. or download custom converted ps2-to-ps3 games on sites like ps3 iso, you'll need to install the 'ps2 image' mounting app on the ps3, it's really simple, you can find pretty detailed tutorials on ps3iso.com etc

That's good to know. I think i should look for CFW PS3 instead of Jailbreak.
Is it easy to install games on internal hdd using FTP? I mean no need to convert ISOs and all that shit stuff like on xbox360.

jailbroken ps3's are the one's with CFW installed, you can't install CFW and get the benefits on a non-JB PS3 (i do not know about USB dongle, cobra etc).

this is what I used:

[Release] PS2 Classics Manager v1.02 (April 11, 2013)(CFW 4.XX)(UPDATE)

I converted my own PS2 ISO's of Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 and ran them myself, worked flawlessly.

Looking for someone to fix my ps3 slim hdmi port and downgrade from 4.55 ofw to cfw. I don't remember the exact model number but it is something like 2x and bought it in 2010.
I gave my ps3 to my nephew last year and he is in Riyadh but he will bring it back next month, just wanna make sure if it is repairable.

I am in need of some assistance. My ps3 slim model CECH-3006B, bought in 2011 have experienced disc ejecting problem yesterday, i follow through some videos and took the disc manually but since then ps3 drive is not physically accepting discs, I believe its sensor is fine as the system starts as i insert the disc but is not taking in the disc itself. I have viewed some of the videos which is specific to dismantling my ps3, but i am afraid to do it. Faizy Bro could you help me?

There are 3 ways
1.FTP

2.File split download this http://ps3tools.aldostools.org - PS3 Tools by Aldo Vargas and start file spliter and chpose the file the pkg to split and transfer to ps3 through multiman and mm will merge them

3.get usb or similiar with ntfs this will let you copy the largest file also.copy the file and go to mm and select fat to ntfs( last corner) and copy the file to ps3 hdd
