PORTABLE PS Vita or Nintendo 3DS

Hi I want to buy a handheld console, but a bit confused between these two. Help me which one is a good choice, some says that PS Vita is a flop and has only few games while some says 3DS games sucks.

If u like poor graphics with a worthless 3d effect and nintendo kiddie games go for the 3ds.only resident evil is a game worth mentioning there.personally i wouldnt even think of taking it outside and playing it in a public place.:kid:.go for the vita great system with sum really good games and as we all know sony it will have many more games with time.

The 3DS has got some killer games. Just have a look at the games in metacritic. I'm sure you'd find something of your liking.

if you like big portable device which can't even be fit in your pocket go with vita which have no support from sony and third parties games
only interesting game ps Vita have is Soul Sacrifice.

mean while 3ds HAVE lots of great games for all kind of people anime type game rpg action etc.

also check this the game ps vita have who have high score is remake of a ps2 game other games doesnt even have 90-ish ratings

if you look closely at Vita high score games they are MULTI PLAT games almost non of them are even exlusives :lol:

ps vita need a year or two and 3ds have already have beast titles with great line up if you want even better opinion mention what kind of games genre you like :wink2:

you sir, are a completely out of your mind. wait, let me say it again, capitalized.YOU SIR, ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR MIND. currently the ps vita is shit. sure it has better specs, but there are only 1 or 2 GOOD games on the system (uncharted+persona 4) oh and yeah, one of those 2 is a multiplatform game. the 3ds on the other hand, has MUCH better games. theres resident evil revelations, monter hunter ultimate, shin megamin tensei 4 (upcoming this summer), pokemon x/y (also upcoming this year), bravely default: flying fairy, a new zelda, just to name a few. and since when has the 3ds become a "kiddie" console? sure its oriented a little towards a younger audience, but its MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE SHITTY PSV. and this is coming from a playstation fanboy.

OP, go for the 3DS. dont listen to anyone who tells you to go for the psvita. ps vita has absolutely NO GOOD GAMES (not even any exciting upcoming games). the 3ds has really realy good games out now, and more are soon to come. if you reallyy care about graphics and such, get an ipod touch 5g. games for ios made using unreal engine 3 are coming out (with graphics near ps3 like graphics), and even ios has better and more games than the vita.

Well its all about personal preferences kid.Sony never abandons its consoles and there r some really good games that will come out.unit13 soul sacrifice,dead or alive,sly cooper,little big planet,gravity rush,metalgear hd collection and many more.U kiddo are blind.Lolz ipod touch5g for gaming.Man i wont argue with u after reading the ipod touch part.

It does depend on what you like to play, really. Are you the kind of guy who thinks Graphics are the most important component of the game? Do you think you can wait an year or so for some really killer apps? Do you hate Pokemon and Mario? Do you hate J-RPGs? Is innovative gameplay not your thing? Then the vita is for you.
If you think the opposite, then the 3DS is for you.
I personally went with the 3DS XL, and am loving it . Its upto what you like, really.

As for controls, I think the 3DS circle pad is much better than the Vita's sticks. The Vita's analog sticks have a limited range of motion and the placement on them is too near the face buttons/dpad, and it's very common accidentally hit dpad down or X when using them. On the other hand, Vita does have two sticks whereas 3DS needs an add-on for two.

The touch screen on the 3DS is more precise, but since it's resistive it does not have multitouch like Vita's capacitive screen.

So it's give and take on the controls, but 3DS has more great games now and far, far more to come in the future. Vita's future is shaky.:crying:

But because of Sony's high price blunder, and because people just preferd a free Angry Birds on a cell phone than a 34$ one on Vita, people didn't buy Vita. Sony did cut price, but it was too little too late. It is a lost cause. The only hope Sony is now clinging on to is PS4's remote play. I think I even read an interview of a Sony's representative saying it was a portable device meant for consumption of Playstation cloud content; not a gaming console, but a device to watch Sony's content on the go. They are even going to launch PS4-Vita bundle.

Vita would MAYBE have a few more AAA titles, but that's it. It would become a niche console for a handful of gamers and some pathetic indie developers (because there's not much money in Vita, good indie developers won't stick around for much).

I am not a Nintendo fan boy: I have never played on any Nintendo console before, but I know its games are not for me. If you like DS or 3DS games, buy the console, but don't waste your money on the soon-to-be-history Vita.

And for people who claim there aren't good games on Vita while 3DS has buttload of them, currently there are 71 games on Vita with higher than 75 meta score compared to 68 such games on 3DS. Yes, you read it right, there are more higher rated games on Vita compared to 3DS.

Comparison of Vita and 3DS isn't as straight forward as people try to make it. If you like racing, fighting, FPS or sports games then frankly 3DS can't even come close to Vita. On the other hand, if you like RPGs then 3DS has the edge. You might think that 3DS would have the advantage over Vita in terms of platform games due to presence of Mario on 3DS, but Vita also has excellent platform games like Rayman Origins (MUCH MUCH better on Vita compared to pathetic 3DS version), Rayman Legends, Little Big Planet, LIMBO, Spelunky, Guacamelee, Tearaway etc.

So basically if you like Nintendo franchises and RPGs then get 3DS. For any other genre, Vita is better.

@Nomad brother, that is the bitter truth, i ain't too hapy about about it either but atleast i have the white limited edtion vita which if i sell could gain me more than what i purchased it for as u may see vita's are going for as low as 10k in marketplace here even.

anyways the thing about games differ on opinion here. the games u mentioned for example the majority of games on vita are already available on smartphones or are multiplats etc and some which as u just mentioned tearaway even though got good reviews etc its not looking good in the sales department.

i'm not saying vita hasn't got it's share of AAA titles but not enough to pick up the system KZ mercenary , resistance burning skies if i go a little back here. FPS titles you were saying about.

the sooner people realise that vita is ultimately going to be ps4's accessory the better.
