First! Is there an official statement from a relevant Pakistani authority about what exactly the polio drop requirements for travel are? None that I found and there probably is not an official policy! And when there is one, expect there to be a delay in communication.

  1. Is there an age bracket for which the drops are required?
  2. Are only Pakistanis required to get the certification and not other nationality?
  3. Is is based on ethnic or racial background who needs to prove they have been vaccinated?
  4. Is the restriction for people who have been in the country for a certain number of days?
  5. If you have been to certain parts of the country, only then are you required to prove your aren't a carrier?
  6. If you travel out before the June 1 (I am guessing 2014!) stated date, are you still required to be vaccinated?
  7. If you have been in Pakistan for less than a specified number of days, then are you not required to be certified safe?
  8. Is the time period in the previous question cumulative over a set number of months or years, i.e. span multiple trips?
  9. Which department is in charge of enforcing the travel restriction - FIA or ASF or CAA or someone else?
Any questions I didn't think of - feel free to add your own.

Second! Has someone traveled abroad recently and if so, what did you experience? Is there a clearer understanding of the guidelines presented at ports? Are officials trying to make money of travelers by intimidation or threats?
I haven't recently and don't plan on traveling outside Pakistan, but I know many people are affected by such sudden changes. So please post your own experiences and this thread may serve as a useful reference. Keep your input relevant to actual verified or verifiable information, and actual experiences you have first hand knowledge of.

For everything else - opinions, possible solutions to world or national problems, appeals to favoured deities, conspiracy theories, etc. - go to this thread.

if you're older then 12.
You'd probably have it certified on the passport.
Rest.
You'll need to get your young ones vaccinated if they arent already.
then i suppose it'll be ifne.

Its not much of an issue though.

You must show a proof of polio vaccination (in the form of recognised certification) when you're travelling abroad. This is only for Pakistanis (who hold Pakistani nationality and passports). There's no age bracket and the certificate is its own document. If you don't get vaccinated, you will get so at the airport. All bodies regulating travel are looking over this.

I am supposed to travel abroad on an educational trip sponsored by a foreign organization. They have told me that I should get a polio vaccination certificate 30 days prior to the intended travel date. Also there is no specific place to get the certificate. You can get it from your general physician or from a local hospital.

Having said that a friend of mine went to Europe around two weeks ago without any certificate so don't know what the situation is exactly.

I don't understand what difference a person's nationality makes on if they are a viral carrier. And isn't the restriction supposed to start June 1 - and that too for people who have been in the country for 4 weeks or longer?

As far on my recent travelling. Polio is required for India and Nigeria. I had my iv done at cmh and one of my friend had drops for the polio. They do not check any documents even you come back from iran.
Polio has no age, you have to take it.

These are two said countries at the moment that will require a document if you are travel ling from pakistan .

Right now the certificate is valid for 1 year, as WHO has given 3 months to prevent and control polio till they take a decision. In any case, it's better to get it done for safety.

it might be conspiracy theories but the polio vaccination is highly suspect. The vaccination itself is some sort of dead variation of a much much more potent polio mutation. Who know what the hell the zionists are cooking up.. so just pray and do it...

I really don't understand all these conspiracy theories regarding the vaccine, first it was birth control then HIV then 0sama got screwed. The vaccine is in use for a long time now and Pakistan's population growth isn't decreasing (so birth control goes down the drain), HIV is also not spreaing really fast and 0sama well thats a different story.
The weird thing is that we can make nuclear weapons but we cannot make a 1960's vaccine within Pakistan, yaar banda copy paste hi kar le :p
At least manufacturing it within Pakistan will take care of all these trust issues and lay to rest all these theories

i travelled abroad on the 10th of this month. there was no check for any certificate. but what i heard back then was that WHO had given the Govt. of Pakistan a 2 week notice period to establish all the infrastructure required for checks. What i know is that you will need a polio vaccination certificate (either from childhood or a new one if you dont have any record of being vaccinated) while travelling internationally. Also if you dont have a certificate there will be vaccination booths at the airport where you can get vaccinated and acquire a certificate.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
