Why PS3 Owners Should Be Proud!
The seventh generation era of gaming has brought not only great consoles of amazing quality, but also a much hyper audience. Despite the fan base of today's generation being lesser than that of the preceding one, the amount of support a respective console gets is far superior to that of the sixth generation.
In 2005 Microsoft released the hyped Xbox 360 - the one console that catered the thousands a year before the Japanese systems came out. Upon release, the Japanese consoles, particularly the PlayStation 3 suffered the greatest of blows. After two generations of enjoying the bounties of success, Sony was finally to give up its reign of power and hand it over to Microsoft. However, we all know which console has surpassed both the mighty giants in terms of popularity and accessibility. That's right, the Nintendo Wii has been catering to the casual gamers, which, in comparison to other types of gamers, make up most of the gaming population of the world.
However, Sony was not ready to admit defeat. At least not just yet. Microsoft aimed for the Xbox 360 too early, which gave Sony an upperedge in this war to make their console superior. But despite the reliability, and the quality of its hardware, the PlayStation 3 had no software backing. As a result, 2006 belonged to the Xbox 360.
But in that year, the PlayStation 3 had managed to learn from its overconfident mistakes and taught the PS3 users of that time to persevere. Through patience, the PlayStation 3 owners, who were cornered by the Xbox 360, were finally out of their shell and can now claim their PS3 ownership proudly. In only a year, the PlayStation 3 managed to attain such a strong software list, that it now has more exclusive titles that in its main competitor - the 360.

METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS
There hasn't been a game, at least in my opinion, which can ever surpass the complexity of Metal Gear Solid's storyline. I mean, the plot of this game is filled with twists and turns (which is a good thing!), and you're never disappointed by an MGS. As a result, Metal Gear Solid 4 is no different. Having a strong fan base on the PlayStation 2, MGS4 brought a miracle of a game to the PlayStation 3 console, giving it the legendary Solid Snake as a counter to MasterChief himself.

KILLZONE 2
After suffering massive humiliation by critics for the original Killzone, Guerilla Games held their heads up high and after a success with Killzone: Liberation, they finally released the main course! At first, people will mistake this game for being as bad as its prequel on the PlayStation 2, but this title is not to be looked by its cover. A first person shooter has never been this much fun. Introducing a great campaign and an amazingly fun online play, Killzone 2 is the FPS the PlayStation 3 audience have been waiting for!

NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA
The term 'Sigma' has been rightfully placed in this exclusive title. The original Ninja Gaiden, released exclusively for the Xbox 360, was a great hit and a successful title. Which is one of the reasons that encouraged Team Ninja to make a revamped edition exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Sigma was the inevitable result and it is bigger and better. With improved graphics and gameplay, Ninja Gaiden Sigma has certainly given the PS3 owners a game to brag about when compared to its cousin on the 360.

LITTLE BIG PLANET
LittleBigPlanet truly is 'The Next Big Thing'. This exclusive title has been praised by several critics for its innovative structure and fun gameplay. The game is one of the few family oriented games on the PlayStation 3 and as such has been spotlighted several times. The ability to create your own levels and to share them with your friends is clearly an awesome feature. Not to mention the amount of customisation in this game is limitless! And with free online play, this game gets even better as online is what makes this game reach its peak! A must-buy for gamers who just want to have fun with cute little sack-boys!

INFAMOUS
When Sucker Punch decides on a new game, the successful Sly Cooper series comes to mind. However, they cooked up something even bigger and sucker punched the world with inFamous! This open-world, superhero title has a two sided story - one in which you are evil, and the other in which you are good. What really makes this game a blast is that it might be THE best open-world game for 2009!

The game features a heavy campaign with great boss battles and a great plot as well. Not to mention its online 60 player matches are epic! A First Person Shooter that really picked up the PlayStation 3's pace, this game is one of the best in its genre.

WARHAWK
Like the PlayStation 3, this game has come back from the grave as well! After dusting off the cobwebs of Warhawk we find an exclusive title which has taken advantage of the PSN's free accessibility and put it to good use! There's not much to say except that Warhawk is one of the most fun online experience you'll ever play and its splitscreen four player offline is just as fun!

VALKYRIA CHRONICLES
With all the military and shooting themed games being released, what can an RPG do? Why, take on the shooting genre of course! What Sega did with their Valkyria Chronicles is that they have included the strategy and tactical form of gameplay into an RPG, making it twice as much fun! This title certainly does show the variety of games the PlayStation 3 has to offer (not saying 360 doesn't have as well).

HEAVENLY SWORD
Heavenly Sword is just another reminder of how powerful the PlayStation 3 really is. Maintaining a reasonable frame rate, this title, though short, packs a punch! Its combat mechanics have really been worked on and the fact that you can fight so many villains in one screen while not worrying about the frame rate is a pleasant one. Ninja Theory have thrown in just another great exclusive.

Revealing only a mere fraction of the real thing, Polyphony Digital have permitted us to feast upon the highly anticipated, Gran Turismo 5! This title, though only a "Prologue" of the actual thing, is a lot more than expected. With sharp controls, technically proficient graphics, and great sound effects, we can only imagine how well the actual game would be like!

UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE
What happens when you're uncharted on an island? Total Epicness! This game, also being one of the PS3's earliest titles, has been praised by critics for its great story, gameplay, and visuals. The game is one of a kind (aside from the genre) and its even better knowing that there's a sequel coming this October! Uncharted: Drake's Fortune may not seem much from the cover, but upon opening that box you have endorsed yourself on a journey you will not forget!

FINAL FANTASY VERSUS XIII
Square Enix has always been persistent in making the most out of their Final Fantasy games. With the release of the CD, they shifted from Nintendo to Sony simply because of the added space CD provided them with. As a result, the same is now happening with DVD and BD. Final Fantasy Versus XIII (13) has some of THE best graphics I have ever seen in a video game, and best of all - its a Final Fantasy! Like all other 12 parts, this one is no less epic, but all the more greater!

So, with all these amazing exclusives coming out (not to mention all the amazing multiplatforms also being released) the PlayStation 3 owners can really come out of their hiding place and proudly call themselves a PS3 owner. Sure the games cost a lot more than they do on the 360, but you won't find such epic titles anywhere else except for the PS3. Its worth the money after all!
