Yeah, FAST is a big no for me now. Thanks for all the help, you guys :D

Now the main problem I have to deal with is PIEAS or NED. My parents want me to stay in Karachi... :/
It's a hard time convincing them. Probably cause I'm not even completely sure about going to Islamabad myself.
But I'm doing istikhara and praying. So I'm sure it'll all be fine in the end.
Again, thanks a lot. But please don't stop the advices. Keep em coming. :D

NED is a politicized shit,go for PIEAS it is better in almost almost everything except that it is located in a remote location...but I feel if it is b/w PIEAS vs NED,their is NO SHIT reason to go to NED...

P.S; I am a karachite now-a-days settled in punjab

NED no doubt is a government institution but the education quality is not upto the standard. The best Engineering institutes in pakistan are either in Lahore or twin cities. It is your future we are talking about. The environment is good and friendly.I had many karachiites studying beside mein NUST and they enjoyed their stay alot.I would opt for PIEAS eyes shut.Idk why its getting hard for ppl securing admission in Nust, its not that difficult

Because they take 3 NETs in a year. Last year when they first announced the two NETs thing, merit got high, this year with 3 NETs it has got even higher! And one thing I have noticed is the quality of tests in the first session and the last one... first one 'feels' (IDK why I said that, or maybe it is) easy and most of the students get higher score in the first one. Most of the people I know actually got lower score in the last session than in the first.
I have another idea (just my theory)... it's that when people appear for first NET, they have less stress on them because they think its just for practice or warm up and actually end up with a good score (good for them at that time) which makes them cockier and they end up with a bad score in the next try... or maybe because its their last try and they get stressed out!

It was my second year :D and still I Abuses will lead to band up! The reason: I prepared for the test like I was going to give board exams again! I did everything opposite to what my brother told me to do... he nailed the NET with 157 (six years ago). Its all about the way one prepares. He started skipping college (inter level) in 2nd year and would only go once or twice a week... but his nerd class mates never made it to NUST.

yr hoti hr jaga hain... kahin zyada kahin thori kam but that doesn't change much... One has to be very good at managing time... roz ka kaam roz kro and studies should be given first priority, phir nikal ata hai time baki cheezon ka! BTW, are you going to FAST?
still not sure
agar 2nd list mei naam na aaya nust ki tu phans jaon ga

I did A levels so I had to study the intermediate syllabus. Some of the things were completely new to me. I remember NET 3 mein Einstein ki Relativity pe bhi question aya tha.

Your brother must have told you to understand the question and the syllabus and not to do ratta?

I have never been a fan of ratta... the problem with me is, I want to understand 'everything' about the material. I wasted my time doing long math questions which had nothing to do with the test, just because I wanted to do it. Otherwise I would feel like I haven't learned anything and that when I will go to the uni again, I will face the same problems as I had before. He told me to practice SAT and just do practice tests from anywhere available. When I did start SAT, it was too late. I had zero chemistry preparation (something I used to be good at) and I used to be good at physics and that confidence got my score all messed up... so that was it!

So what did you decide?
And for those people complaining about quality of education, are you still school kids? Do you have to rely on teachers at all costs?
There is something called a book, I doubt most people read em. More than 50% of my preparation for finals rely on reading books

My point exactly!! Teachers don't teach shit! All they do is help students understand the concept in the book. And their help is of no practical use!

There's a reason why all top ranked universities hire experienced PhD holder teachers, it makes grasping the gist of the course a much simpler affair. After all, that's what you pay the mighty tuition costs for, isn't it?

Yeah, a good teacher is really important. I'm talking from experience. In AS most of our class got average grades/flunked Physics due to the incompetent instructor.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
