I am writing this small guide / helping thread to let the new people get started who want to start their own show on PakGamers Online Radio but don't know what they require and how to start etc..
Internet radio broadcasting is quite easy, all you need is:
- A good DSL connection
- A good quality recording mic
- WinAMP + Shoutcast DSP plugin (http://www.shoutcast.com/download)
If you want to do real time mixing or want to host a talk show etc then you will need a mixing software as well, I highly recommend SAM Broadcaster (the best one) and softwares like virtual DJ etc. (don't ask me where to get them, they are not free so you need to google yourself).
SAM Broadcaster: http://www.spacialaudio.com/?page=sam-broadcaster
Virtual DJ: http://www.virtualdj.com/
Obviously you will also require a server connection info like port, username, password etc which will be provided by pakgamers to the people who want to do the regular shows.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or having trouble in setting up a broadcast!
PS: help will be provided to those members only who are doing their show on PG Radio or want to do one.
