[h=5]SOME DETAILS OF MY DENON AVR 1911 DEDICATED TO PC ONLY MUSIC / GAMES N MORE GAMES

[/h][h=4]Denon AVR-1911 7.1-Channel A/V Receiver[/h]

  • Support for latest high-definition audio and video formats
  • Cutting-edge audio technologies for exceptional surround sound
  • 4 HDMI inputs for added connectivity
  • HDMI 1.4a for compatibility with 3D media
  • HD radio and iPod/iPhone Direct Connectivity

Equal power amplifier design gives a more faithful reproduction of the original sound.

A full range of inputs support all the latest formats, including HDMI 1.4a for 3D media.

[h=5]Premium Audio Technologies for Superb Surround Sound[/h] Fully compatible with the latest HD audio formats, the Denon AVR-1911 7.1-Channel A/V Receiver provides a powerful, theater-quality surround-sound experience. It ensures maximum audio performance with multiple cutting-edge technologies:
  • Equal Power Amp Design : Each of the AVR-1911's seven 90-watt channels is powered by its own, discrete circuit. This allows the receiver to reproduce the original sound more faithfully than conventional models, which use integrated circuits.
  • High-Definition Audio Support : The AVR-1911 features support for the latest Blu-Ray high-resolution audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. These formats play back sound with exceptional fidelity, providing you with a more realistic listening experience.
  • Dolby Pro Logic IIz : Providing two additional height channels, this feature adds a vertical dimension to the soundstage, and a more immersive surround-sound experience.
  • Audyssey MultEQ Support : Audyssey technology helps create an optimal acoustic profile for your home theater. Using a microphone, Audyssey MultEQ measures sound levels and adjusts speaker configuration accordingly, making setup fast and easy.

[h=5]Full HD Support and Up-Scaling to 1080p[/h] With four HDMI inputs, the AVR-1911 allows you to route multiple high-definition devices--like game consoles and Blu-Ray players--to your TV. The receiver also upscales standard-definition video inputs to a 1080p HD signal. You'll be able to enjoy older media, such as VCR and DVD, in richer detail. It also allows you to connect all of your devices to your TV with a single HDMI cable, reducing cable clutter.
[h=5]Vivid 3D Visuals with HDMI 1.4a[/h] The AVR-1911 comes equipped with HDMI 1.4a, allowing you to make the most of several premium video features:
  • 3D Pass-Through : With the advent of 3D media, it is important to own a receiver that recognizes 3D video signals. The AVR-1911 is able to pass through 3D signals from your Blu-Ray player, ensuring that the 3D effect doesn't get lost in translation. It also recognizes signals from 3D television broadcasts.
  • Audio Return Channel : HDMI 1.4a also features an Audio Return Channel, which allows both audio and video content to be sent through a single HDMI cable. This eliminates the need for a separate audio cable running from your TV to the receiver--only a single HDMI cable is needed.
  • Deep Color and x.v.Color Support : The AVR-1911 also supports Deep Color and x.v.Color schemes, which can display a larger color range than standard-definition schemes. The result is a more lifelike, vibrant picture.
[h=5]HD Radio and iPod Connectivity[/h] Equipped with an HD Radio, the AVR-1911 actively converts analog radio signals to digital, greatly improving the clarity of both AM and FM broadcasts. The receiver also features iPod and iPhone Direct Connectivity, allowing you to stream your music via a USB cable. A compressed audio restorer guarantees that MP3 playback is crisp and clear.
[h=5]Ergonomic Design Promotes Easy Control[/h] With its programmable functions and intuitive button layout, the AVR-1911 is designed to maximize ease of use. The front panel is smartly organized, featuring clearly-labeled buttons and onboard controls for volume and source. In addition, its on-screen display provides quick information about your system's settings. The AVR-1911's remote can sync with other entertainment devices in your home theater, eliminating the need for multiple remote controls. It can also be easily programmed with macro functions, giving you more flexibility in controlling your home theater.
[h=5]7-Channel Equal Power[/h]
7-Channel Equal Power is a feature used in various Denon amplifiers to connect 7 speakers independently so that separate power amps connected via pre-outs are not required. It allows you to connect the second 'surround back' speaker to complement the surround back speaker for 6.1, straight off the main amplifier without adding a power amplifier to support 7.1 surround formats. Amplifiers with 7-Channel Equal Power have built-in separate internal amplifiers to power each channel independently, thus allowing you to enjoy the same high power output capability per channel, giving a balanced and truly high-impact surround-sound environment.

[h=5]7-Channel Stereo[/h]
Denon's 7-Channel Stereo mode enables top quality normal two channel stereo output from the surround speakers to provide a unique 7 channel stereo option. This mode can be fully utilized from any high quality stereo source via CD, tape, FM-radio or video recorder for dynamic 7-channel output. The 7-channel stereo is available if you have a surround back right speaker connected as well as the surround back left speaker used in 6.1, otherwise you can still experience multi-channel stereo output using a 5-channel-stereo or 6-channel-stereo configuration.

[h=5]ASD-1R[/h]
The Denon ASD-1R (and the newer ASD-11R released in 2008 both sold separately) is a convenient iPod docking station compatible with this Denon component. Charging, iPod control, and playback of audio and video content is possible, and is dependent on each device's capabilities.

[h=5]Audyssey Dynamic Volume[/h]
Audyssey Dynamic Volume solves the problem of large variations in volume level between television programs, commercials, and between the soft and loud passages of movies.

[h=5]Audyssey MultEQ[/h]
Room acoustic measuring and correction system analyzes (via the included microphone) the audio characteristics of your speaker system and your listening environment at up to 6 measurement points and automatically tailors the sound for top audio fidelity.

[h=5]Auto Set-Up/Room EQ Adjust[/h]
The Auto Set-Up/Room EQ Adjust feature eases setup hassles by confirming speaker phase, assessing the sizes of all of your speakers, measuring speaker-to-listener distances, and balancing speaker levels. With the Denon DM-A405, DM-S205 or DM-S305 calibration-grade microphone (some optional) placed in your favorite listening seat, this feature uses a test tone generator and proprietary programming to precisely balance speaker levels and fine-tune the delay and EQ settings for each speaker. The result is optimized system performance for your specific home theater room.

[h=5]Cinema Equalizer[/h]
The sound from movie sources recorded in Dolby Digital, dts, or other formats emphasizes high-frequency range due to a theaters front speakers being placed behind the movie screen. If this sound is reproduced in the home theater without correction, the high-frequency range can be too strong. Denon amplifiers feature a Cinema Equalizer to correct these high-frequency components so that the sound is clearer and easier to listen to.

[h=5]Dolby Digital[/h]
Dolby Digital is the multi-channel digital signal format developed by Dolby Laboratories. Dolby Digital consists of up to 5.1 channels – front left, front right, center, surround left, surround right, and an additional channel exclusively reserved for additional deep bass sound effects. Dolby Digitals main channels can all contain full range sound information, from the lowest bass, up to the highest frequencies – 22 kHz. The signals within each channel are distinct from the others, allowing pinpoint sound imaging and tremendous dynamic range from the most powerful sound effects to the quietest, softest sounds, free from noise and distortion.

[h=5]Dolby Pro Logic IIx[/h]
Dolby Pro Logic IIx furthers the matrix decoding technology of Dolby Pro Logic II to decode audio signals recorded on two channels up to 7.1 playback channels, including the surround back channel. Dolby Pro Logic IIx also allows 5.1-channel sources to be played in up to 7.1 channels. The mode can be selected according to the source – Music mode is best suited for playing music, Cinema mode for playing movies, and Game mode for playing games.

[h=5]DTS 96/24[/h]
DTS-ES® is used to describe 6.1 channel extended surround sound. DTS Neo:6 is used to describe our matrix technology that takes any 2-channel source material and emulates an immersive surround sound experience using a multi-channel surround sound system. DTS 96/24 is used to describe the high resolution technology featuring 96 kHz sampling rate and 24-bit word length

[h=5]dts Digital Surround[/h]
dts Digital Surround (also called simply dts) is a multi-channel digital signal format developed by Digital Theater Systems. dts is a 5.1-channel surround sound format that is available in movie theaters, and as an optional soundtrack on some DVD-Video movies for home theater viewing. The primary advantage of dts is that it offers higher data rates, leading many home theater enthusiasts to claim the sound quality for movie or music audio tracks to be closer to the original master recordings.

[h=5]dts-ES Extended Surround[/h]
dts-ES Extended Surround is a new multi-channel digital signal format developed by Digital Theater Systems. Used professionally in movie theaters since 1999, dts-ES Extended Surround greatly improves the 360-degree surround impression and space expression thanks to further expanded surround signals. In addition to the 5.1 surround channels, dts-ES Extended Surround also offers Surround Back, sometimes also referred to as surround center channel for surround playback with a total of 6.1 channels. dts-ES Extended Surround includes two signal formats with different surround signal recording methods, dts-ES Discrete 6.1 and dts-ES™ Matrix 6.1.

[h=5]GLO-KEY Technology[/h]
The keys on the remote control are made of fluorescent glow in the dark material to allow for easy use in dark rooms. On the remotes for the Denon amplifiers and DVD players, the important keys have been highlighted with the GLO-Key technology. Some of the remotes have also a backlight that illuminates the keys on touch of the remote.

[h=5]HD Radio[/h]
Enables the reception of high-quality digital AM and FM stations. Broadcast simultaneously with traditional analog signals, HD Radio signals provide crystal-clear CD-quality sound, program information (e.g. artist, song title, station, etc.), and multiple channels of programming on the same FM frequency.

[h=5]HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface)[/h]
This is a digital interface standard for next generation television developed based on the DVI (Digital Visual Interface) used for computer displays and optimized for use in non-professional equipment. With it, non-compressed digital video and multi-channel audio signals can be transferred with a single connector, eliminating the need to use separate cables for picture and sound and making it possible to make connectors smaller. HDMI is compatible with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Contents Protection), a technology for protecting copyrights that encrypts digital video signals.

[h=5]Made For iPod[/h]
The Made for iPod mark signifies that this product has been designed to work with iPod devices either through docking stations or connection cables. Available features will be dependant on the products used.

[h=5]Multi-Room Entertainment System[/h]
Denons Multi Source function lets you select different audio sources for listening in different locations (some models may have volume adjust only for zone 2). Different sources can thus be enjoyed in the main room (MAIN) and sub-room(s) – ZONE 2, ZONE 3 or ZONE 4 – simultaneously (number of zones is model dependent). For additional information, check the instruction manual of the A/V receiver or power amplifier of interest for complete functionality.

looks menacing --whats the cost of these / if possible post a pic of the set up .

when I was there I was impressed with the BOSE acoumass 10 / 5.1 set up with woofer --but either it was me --but I did not like the sound --
the amps even the low end models would literally tear up the speakers --meaning more output form the amp less input on the speakes .not matched

regardless --- been learning on a stready rate about the balancing act of speakers ... though money comes in the question .

with more cash you can get a really good set up ---but even the heavy speakers some times cry if you have a high end receiver ---

these Japanese amps are built as a tank ---a similar setup amp even in new or used is expensive .

my idea was to get a beast --still searching --120watt each channel * 5 = 600 watt at 8 ohm and 150 watt at 6 ohms
