PCI query

Just got a New PC, the specs are quite good But the issue is that when i searched online it said that my motherboard has a PCI - express ( REVISIED ) 1.1, now most of the graphic cards require PCI-E 2.0, when i opened the box it said in the diagram that my motheroard has a pci-e 2.0 x 16 slot, im confused... which is it??

And what does PCI-E REVISED 1.1 mean...

Intel Pentium E5700 @ 3.00 GHZ ( 2CPU's )
2GB RAM
Intel (R) G41 Express Chipset Family

g41 chipset has pci-express 1.1 so ur board has pci-express 1.1 too,btw it doesnt really effect performance

Dont worry New GPUs will work on your board.

Doesn't matter if its 1.1 or 2.0. all PCI-E GPUs will work provided you have a good enough PSU.

Ha ha ha bro either u people are too genius or the COMPANIES who make these GPUs and write pci-e 2.0 RECOMMENDED are fool. Have anyone of u tested urself this thing?
I have tested my 460GTX on ASUS P5K-VM (pci-e 1.0 or 1.1) and ASUS P5QD Turbo (pci-e 2.0) and there is a huge performance difference in games like Call of duty etc etc

PCI express 1.0 or 1.1 will not effect your gamming performance unless you have a very high end card like gtx 580 or hd 6970 running in pci e 1.1 slot will limit its performance due to bandwidth limitation, and in you case it will not effect the performance...

It depends on the GPU as a High End Card will get bottlenecked on PCI E 1.1 but Mid Range to Low End Cards will work just fine

2% Performance difference on a GTX480
anything below will have an even less performance difference

It will work but not give u full performance so plz upgrade your mobo to atleast 2.0*16x slot
