Full news and pictures r here: http://www.karachicity.gov.pk/Karachi July 09: Governor of Sindh Dr.Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal inaugurated Pakistan’s first ever multistory vehicle parking plaza in Saddar on Thursday.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony on this occasion Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan congratulated citizens of Karachi for completion of the project and also praised the efforts of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal and his team for performing unprecedented and extraordinary development works during the last four years in Karachi.
The Governor said that Karachi has more potential and the city had maintained its importance over the last few years at national and international level despite of all odds.
“The world had recognized the importance of Karachi in last four years and its Nazim had been nominated among the best mayors of the world which is a great compliment for all Pakistanis”, he said and added that before that no one had ever served Karachi like the way City Nazim Mustafa Kamal and his team owned this city and totally changed the face of the city by working day and night. He said that the uplift works in Karachi have not only helped in raising the standard of life of common citizens but they also provided big boost to economic and commercial activities in the city.
Earlier speaking on the occasion Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal said that today is a good day for the public in Karachi and for all Pakistanis that Pakistan’s first ever car parking plaza has now been opened for public.
He said that the city government has made a plan under which the busy area of Saddar would be made pedestrian area on gradual basis.
Nazim Karachi said that with the completion of this project and development work around the parking plaza, the area of Saddar is now presenting a new and refreshing look.
He said that after the completion of corridor-III the motorists would have 18km signal free journey from Saddar to Safoora Goth Malir and even further 10km to Tool Plaza at Superhighway.
