In Resident Evil 2, the classic action, tense exploration, and puzzle solving gameplay that defined the Resident Evil series returns. Players join rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies. Both Leon and Claire have their own separate playable campaigns, allowing players to see the story from both characters’ perspectives. The fate of these two fan favorite characters is in players hands as they work together to survive and get to the bottom of what is behind the terrifying attack on the city. This looks fucking incredible. They'll do a game play demo at Sony's event today, the game's also playable to the public at the show floor.

I hope they release the demo online like RE7's demo when that game got announced.

You are not far off. When that trailer started with the POV shot from the mouse, immediately knew what it was. That's how RE Outbreak's intro also started, which is not RE2 but large chunks of that game take place in Raccoon City and The Raccoon Police Department.

This is the only thing I wanted out of this E3 and Capcom delivered

I'm gonna replay the original game on the weekend for good old memories.
