I agree with both of you , but thing is we arent in CL so we need to offer crazy money to get talents

if we would have been in CL , we would have got him at price of 25-26 mill max

how does being in CL affect the transfer price agreed between the two clubs? it might affect the wages offered to the player, since the player would be more inclined towards playing for a CL club... but the transfer fee? why would Southampton have decreased the price had United qualified for the Champions League?

dont u think chelsea and Liverpool might have also bid for him around 22-25 mill , but it was utd who payed over the odds , if Utd would have been in CL and bid around 22-25 and no club going above that price , Saints might have considered selling him cheaper

25m for Lallana is a faiir price. 20m would have been better to look at but Southampton are losing their mvp so they had to get the best price for him. Credit to Liverpool for negotiating down the 30m asking price. Lallana will fit great into Rodgers' system and will provide the consistency and finishing not present in Coutinho. I hope Rodgers can add Shaqiri to the ranks. Really worried about the Suarez situation and hopefully Liverpool will release a statement soon outlining whether they will keep Suarez or let him leave.

Serbia international D. Tadic of Fc Twente seems to be the replacement for A. Lallana @ Southampton.

Liverpool's managing director Ian Ayre is meeting officials from Barcelona today to discuss Luis Suarez transfer.

Dat frontline we'll have:
---Neymar---Suarez---
---------Messi---------
maybe if you're playing Fifa.... it's a 50-50 in the real world... With Suarez and Messi both natural centre forwards, there is no way Suarez will be given that spot ahead of Messi... which means he will be shifted around.... will he be able to excel in that makeshift role? only time will tell

Messi isn't a natural CF, he is a SS/CAM and he said so himself that he prefers to play behind another striker. If you want proof go look at the highlights of Barca's 4-0 win against Milan in the CL, Villa came into the striker position with Messi dropping behind him and we all know what happened next

Messi is not a center forward. Never has been. He just scores goals no matter where he plays, which might lead some people ot incorrectly believe he is a proper center forward.

Suarez with Messi behind him, and Neymar coming in from the left?

I just got a boner.

Good news for United fans, though, Liverpool without Suarez will slide right back out of the top four this coming season.

I believe Suarez might not release his full potential as he did with Liverpool since Barcelona's game revolves around Lionel Messi as ours did with Suarez. Obviously there will be adjustments made in his style of play, no denying that. Maybe it will pay off or it might not. But that's just me. All the best to Luis Suarez and FC Barcelona. As for Liverpool, we will survive. I am sure Fenway and Rodgers are working on bringing in a suitable replacement. Liverpool have made contact with Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Mario Balotelli is a target. 75-80 mil pounds is a lot of money. I hope Rodgers does not repeat the mistake Spurs made after selling Bale. Rather than buying a large number of players we should focus on shelling most of it on 1 or 2 world class replacements.

Actually, that isn't entirely true.

To accomodate Sturridge, he played out wide and joined in whenever he could.

Suarez has demonstrated how well he can take on different roles, both with club and country, and that he has the footballing brain and the technique to do this.

And playing with better players around him, he will unleash his full potention.

I just wish Xavi was younger. Xavi in his prime with Suarez ahead of him, that would really have been something.

I partially agree with you but in the majority of matches Suarez played as a CF alongside Sturridge. Both were played as CFs. Rodgers played with 2 strikers up front. My point is not about Suarez's position. Its how Rodgers' game has always centred around Suarez, whatever position he played in. You can take a look at games we played after Suarez's second ban and compare them to those after his return. Anyways, good luck to him and the Kop thanks him for his service to the club. Liverpool need to act fast and act smart right now. Reports suggest contact has been made with Klaas Jan Huntelaar (not sure how he'll fit in) and Mario Balotelli.

You remember the frontline Barca used to have in 2008-09 season it was Henry-Eto'o-Messi. All three were reliable goalscorers in their own rights and defenders weren't able to solely concentrate on just one player that was the dynamic attack Barca sorely missed. Sanchez has his qualities but being a prolific 25+ goals a season forward is not one of them and the scoring load falls on Messi alone. With Suarez we have a very balanced frontline with Neymar playing the playmaking support role, Messi being Messi and Suarez the 2nd reliable goalscoring option beside Messi to share the load

Arsenal are convinced they have won the race to sign Alexis Sanchez, with Juventus having dropped out of the chase for Barcelona's Chilean striker. The deal is expected to be formally announced today by Barcelona, along with signing of Luis Suarez from Liverpool.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
