yeah and don't forget llorente they let him go free , instead could have got some money , honestly i hate that spanish transfer clause stuff of player paying him self or else club could reject things .
News is they owe Zaragoza some amount for development which they dont want to pay
Yeah man. The guy clearly wants this deal done. He really wants to come. He reportedly cried last season when the deal went sour. He's taking a pay-cut and contributing 4million of his future salary to sanction the deal, but Bilbao are fucking up. Bilbao, Zaragoza and the Spanish FA need to sort this out soon between themselves.

How fucked up are Bilbao? They are pretty notorious for their shady transfer practices.

United met the transfer release clause but they came up and said they wanted the player to pay the release clause himself. They did the same with Javi Martinez, so United have hired the same consultants who worked it out for Bayern. So this deal should be done, one way or another, hopefully.
There is actually nothing shady about it. Bilbao don't get players unless they are Basque so they have little to no spending in the transfer market and due to also being one of the most financially stable and 0 debt club in Spain they don't need money and can afford to say no to any offers unless the buyout clause of the player is paid. The buyout although requires the player to himself terminate the contract in turn paying the club the release clause + tax associated with it. In other words its useless trying to negotiate with Bilbao

Obviously, I agree with what you've said, but shady doesn't mean unlawful. They are a notorious bunch, but it's borderline unethical. It's not how business is done. More so if the player wants to go.

Well if you go by ethics its usually a two way sword. If you look through the club's perspective the player signed a contract pledging his alliegence with the said club for a fixed duration but now is throwing tantrum when he sees greener pastures instead of fulfilling his contract with his current employer. So Bilbao have enough of a claim on the player being unprofessional and unethical and from their POV the correct thing would be for the player to either fulfill his commitment or pay the contract's agreed termination fee which includes taxes imposed by the Spanish Govt

Herrera deal confirmed by Athletic. Rejoice.

The Football League has certified Athletic Club that player Ander Herrera Agüera has fulfilled the requirements of the applicable regulations valid for unilateral termination of the employment contract that bound him to our Club, by depositing today the amount of compensation established in the contract.

The Athletic Club thanks Ander Herrera for his dedication during the three seasons he has enjoyed the club and wishes him the best in his future sports projects.

wasnt there the whole buyout clause thingy? United paid the buyout clause... Atletico just wanted to stretch it to 1st July cuz the buyout clause would have increased to 32m.... strange practice to Abuses will lead to ban about even after the buyout clause is met

Kroos would be really nice tbh but can't see it happening. Btw reports coming in that Shaw is due to have a medical at United very soon. Woodward is on a roll.

According to reports in France, Liverpool are set to seal the signing of Lille's Belgian starlet Divock Origi. The 19-year-old will cost around €14 million and could be loaned back to Lille for next season.

Jack Rodwell can leave Manchester City after the arrival of £12m midfielder Fernando from Fc Porto.

I am so surprised by the Shaw deal, it's not even funny. I'm actually shocked. I did not think it would happen in a million years.

This is a big coup for United. It shows they are still able to compete with the top Clubs for the top talent.

not sure if sarcasm, or if you haven't been following the news... United were the only ones left in the race... Chelsea couldn't compete the wages we were offering because of their moves for Costa and Fabregas... it was only a matter of when rather than if

While I have not been following the news, Chelsea do not have a recognized left back as far as I know with Cole gone, and a make shift right back playing left back all of last season.

If it is true that Chelsea didn't go in for him because of their other targets, than I am surprised. They plan to spend another season with no recognized left back, and no real cover in case of injuries, I'm just surprised at the short-sightedness of Mourinho.

However, if no other Clubs were in for him, then I guess the deal makes more sense to me.

yea Chelsea made it clear even before the World Cup that they weren't gonna match United's offer since they weren't prioritizing a LB, given the amount of money Shaw is costing....

3 clubs were in race Chelsea man utd and Liverpool , Chelsea was his preferred choice cause of boyhood club etc , but moyes and utd planned mega bid and wages and shaw was convinced to sign for man utd , Chelsea couldn't match that much in terms of transfer plus wages .
Liverpool went for Spanish left back a cheaper alt but got bid rejected , I believe Chelsea will sign that Spanish left back from Seville .

Since shaw is very young and probably very promising young left back , I think llalana deal is little over priced

BBC Sport - Adam Lallana: Liverpool medical for Southampton midfielder
tbh, im thinking the other way round... 33m for a 19 year old fullback is just crazy money.... while i understand we have to spend crazy money now to attract talent, im still uncomfortable at the thought of spending a cool 30m on someone who might very well turn out to be just another face in the crowd.... increase 10m and meet the asking price of Marquinhos who's already proven himself at every stage....

Given the deals that've been happening in and around the world for the past few years, I couldn't give a rat's ass about the 30m for Shaw, or the 28m paid for Herrera.

United deal for Shaw makes sense. Homegrown player. England's number 1 left-back for years to come, not to mention his age and maturity. We paid 33m for Rio 10 years ago. He has paid it back many times over.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
