Online shopping with DEBIT (Not Credit) card

Alright pakgamers, educate me on this shit .. is it possible to shop online using a DEBIT card. I have a debit card from Standard Chartered (thank you office), and was just wondering if retails (game.co.uk for example) take debit cards, and if anyone's had success ?

furthermore, I know game ships to pakistan, how many days do they usually take ?

SCB debit works on most of the online retailers, except google checkout and few others.

shipping usually takes 15 to 30days depends on shipment type

According to SCB customer service, the SCB debit card works on all online stores where the CVC/CCV (the 3 digit security code) is asked for, and where Debit Card itself is accepted .. There are some sites which only accept credit cards, and not debit cards .. the most prominent example for this is Google Checkout ..

1 - The site is secure

I also used ubl wiz card for a lot of stuff online including google wallet. That works too .. Sadly ebay and amazon dont support pakistN so couldnt use it there..

It really depends on the bank. If your debit card has VISA logo on it then it CAN be used on online stores, else it won't. For example, HBL debit cards can NOT be used online and can only be used as credit cards locally. But SCB debit cards work online. So you need to confirm from you bank if your debit card can work online.

Well i tried Soneri bank visa debit card online on namecheap, deviantart and moneybooker, but it didnt work. I think UBL wiz is your best choice as getting a standard chartered visa card may have alot of hassle.

It your card says VISA or MASTERCARD in big block logo on your card then it will work.

Talk to your bank about the usage limitations on your card.

VISA-Debit cards have to be activated by the bank to use online.

They had no clue i went to my bank branch couple of times for some transactions and asked about online usage of the card. None of them had any clue, so i just didnt bother. My main purpose was not to use it online anyway, but i tried that it may work and it didnt. I've been told most VISA/Mastercard debit cards of pakistani banks dont work online, especially these local 2 numbri bank cards lol. SCB is a rare case, its one of the top of the line banks though.

most of the websites dont ship to pk and some do even less accept debit cards from PAKISTAN sadly but last time i checked game.co.uk does accept so ur good.

btw theres some 2 percent charge on scb debit cards on online orders etc. so do check that before ordering.

My dad has an HBL credit card and i need to make a payment to a canadian university . It accepts credit cards of visa mastercard and american express. HBL is Visa. What do you guys think is it gonna be any good?

^^ i've tried using visa HBL aswell debit card but it didn't work, maybe gotta activate for online use first.
