hey guys i m currently trying to save up money to buy a phone... i just have one question.. save me the technical mambo jambo... Nexus one or iphone 3gs?

If you want an android go for nexus one if ios go for iphone 3gs.
My choice go for nexus one it is better than iphone 3gs in hardware section and may be in os as well when ice cream sandwich is released.
But i love some ios 5 feature so go for apple.

I'm sorry but if you're going to ask a one word answer then its US making the decision for you which would just end up in you getting a phone that you won't like.

Depends a LOT on an individual's tastes.

Which phones were you using before?
How much into customization and tweaking are you? N1 beats 3GS in this
Do you want to spend time (good time) setting up the look and feel and organization of your phone's software and UI? Again, N1 beats 3GS
How important is the camera quality for you? Again, N1 beats 3GS
How important is gaming for you? 3GS got the definite edge here
The number of available applications, if that's a concern? Again, 3GS got an edge.
How quickly do you get bored from the (Software) look and feel of your devices? Similar to the second question.

Again, this may be considered a bit subjective. You'll have to state what you're looking for in your phone.

i used nokia 5730 xm.. i have always prefered nokia over any other head set before becuz nokia had symbian and i just loved the fact that i had many softwares and apps on it.. barely use the camera... gaming on phone is not my thing... but i m very much into customizing the phone.. so guess nexus one it is.. researching on this stuff... i found out kay the movements and the touch sensitivity in the nexus isnt slick enough... is that too.. cuz a slow ass phone/pc/anything else will jus piss me off...

In short, go for Nexus One for 24.5k from that shop that Shyber mentioned.

Never seen a 3GS being sold lower than 30k, provided condition is immaculate. However, seen Enough 3GS' being sold at lower than 26k because their condition was not 'mint', with SOME scratches on the back.

Which means, i am assuming your budget CAN go upto 28k or even 30k.
So leave Nexus One and aim for slightly higher than that i.e. a Galaxy S i9000.
