MULTI Okami announcement coming next week

The official Japanese Okami Twitter account seems to be teasing news for next week.
“Hello, this is Okami news,” said the account. “Sorry I’ve been kind of out of touch lately, but I have the feeling we’ll be able to drop a fresh announcement like WHAM! around the beginning of Golden Week, so please look forward to it. Right now we’re on track with preparations.”
Golden Week, which runs from April 29 to May 5, is a period of multiple consecutive holidays in Japan. Many companies and stores close down in observation.
Interestingly, the latest issue of Famitsu is teasing something presumably big for its next issue, which is due out on newsstands May 9.
“The new game to bring fans tears of happiness finally comes to life! A must-see!”
The teaser could apply to something other than an Okami game, of course. But the possibility is there.

Without Hideki Kamiya, i don't really have any expectations for any upcoming Okami game. This one is most likely a re-release either on handheld platforms(3DS/Vita) or on Mobile Platforms. The least possible chance could be Wii U.

If they do go ahead with this, the touchscreen on the Wii U, Vita, and 3DS would be a natural fit for the paintbrush mode.

Still i find it hard to imagine any Okami 2 without Kamiya directing or Overseeing Development. Viewtful Joe 2 was still amazing because of Kamiya seeing development, it went sh*t afterwards. Don't know what happened to the DS Okami game because i never bothered with it.

:| Its cell shaded graphics dummy... :fp2: the original Okami was a Great game on Ps2 it kinda resembled Zelda a bit but dunno why the game was under rated..... <_<

It wasn't underrated. I played it on the PS2 emulator in HD graphics, and the game seemed fun. But couldn't finish it cuz joystick broke

I hope to GOD its a new Okami. Okami and Okamiden stole HOURS of my time and I enjoyed every second, I really hope we see a new story, this game is literally one of the greatest things to happen to gaming and its a shame it went very under appreciated.

Okami was an amazing game. In fact it was one of my favorite games on the ps2.
