I still don't see the point in such a thread TBH.We already have lengthy discussions about video games in every thread we make here and no one's really discussing any old games here anyways.

Sure youre correct. But this thread can help people find those hidden gems of games that were never popular and never got their own OT

The Darkness 2
Well it improved some things from its predecessor but it also didn't keep some good stuff from it.
Graphics had a comicy look to them but frame rate was stable most of the times unlike Part 1.
The open world style of Part 1 is gone sadly
Game play is more fluid and fun although I wish there was. But soundtrack is no where near as awesome.
The game is not that dark compared to part 1. The story is presented in a better way here though, pacing was good.

Ok SO I started playing this yesterday:

No I've only started this but I'll post anyways, Having played this for about 30 mins I can see that the New Killer Is Dead borrows alot from this in terms of artstyle and themes.I also know that this game is "off the hook" level wacky and strange and I have no idea what's going on so far.I think it might take a while for me to recover from the disorientation caused by the initial scenes, SO far I have pretty mixed feelings and I'm mostly just confused.

Just finished Hard Reset Extended Edition.

Long time coming, but finally finished it.

Not really as good as the original, but fun enough. Last boss was extremely pathetic. I was afraid of all those little enemies and gorillas more compared to the last boss.

Still, game like this is not really made these days. The music and atmosphere is exceptional!.

Finished two games this week.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood: I had finished this game before once, but then last week I suddenly got this urge to play it again. So I finished it in 3 days. Love the soundtrack. The gameplay was great as ever. Story could have been better but still, I enjoyed it.

I also finished Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. Amazing game. The gameplay was just as awesome, the story and the characters were great. It wasn't well reviewed as the second game, but to me it felt like it was the best Sly Cooper game. The missions are so unique and the split-screen multiplayer is fun. Hope that Sly 4 will be just as awesome. This game definitely makes it into my Top 5. Sucker Punch FTW!!

Road to Pripyat is mein sub se best part hai. Atmosphere wise yeh best in series hai.

This game is one of the best games i've played,the atmosphere is so good,but it's quite hard and you need a decent rig to max it to its beauty.

I also liked it's sequel Call of Pripyat and enjoyed it also very much,one of my all time favorites.

Too bad they are not making another part of this atmospheric game.

Still... playing as fast as I can.

Keeping Bio 2 out, Infinite has to include better textures and Anti-Aliasing!. Benchmark would be a plus!.

The game is AWESOME!! One of my favourite this gen FPS

Finished "Metal gear rising revengeance".
Awesome action/hack n' slash game. The game is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun, just what I'd expect from Platinum games. The game clearly had the fast pace and over the top action of their previous games like Bayonetta and Vanquish. Gameplay was awesome, parrying was cool, loved blade time and ability to cut most of the objects in the environment in any way you want, I spent like half an hour at the start just cutting objects here and there . Apart from the main HF blade, other weapons were really fun to use too, especially that pole.

Graphics were good, silky smooth FPS throughout the game (just a few hiccups during rare occasions), character models were detailed but surroundings/environment were mostly low res and didn't had that many variations.

Cut scenes were awesome, full of action. Boss fights were great.

WTH!!! was that Senator.....He was like HULK, tooo DAMN powerful. LOVED THE WHOLE FIGHT with awesome soundtrack playing

The story was OK, and served its purpose. The villains were cool and had that MGS feel to them. RAIDEN was GREAT, he was a real badass, even more so then he was in MGS 4, can't believe he is the same guy from MGS2. His cyborg body was really really cool.

I wished they had including change of weapons on the fly as it was really annoying the other way, also the camera was at times really annoying and frustrating.

Was glad to see some MGS stuff and references in it which gave it a feel of MGS,

Overall loved it. One of the best game of this genre.

P.S I can't see why people hate on this game just because its not like previous MGS games and had Raiden in it. Its MG Rising, not SOLID. Plus, how can anyone not like Raiden after this game.

Finished "DMC"
Awesome game. All the negative hype it got build around it before release was for nothing as the game turned out to be great and the new Dante is very Likeable and cool.
Liked the story and a kind of serious touch it had compared to previous DMC games. Still there were some good old DMC moments :wink2:.
Gameplay was fun and great, although playing DMC directly after MGR made it fell like it was in slow motion .
The level design was CRAZYYYY, in a good way, loved them.
Bosses design was cool and even creepy but they were pretty easy to beat.
Lack of combos for Rebellion and other weapons was a miss.
Overall great game.

I am about to finish Dark Souls on pc.
SO i will rate it. 8/10. I should have giving it 10/10 but for its bad port i did not give it 10/10. But overall the game is kickass. After Dark souls may be i will go back to it or may be i staft far cry 3 or kingdoms of amalur.

Since everyone (probably) knows I bought PS2 just to play Metal Gear, I missed quite a lot of games exclusive to that system. The Jak & Daxter trilogy is one of them.

So I got the remastered for PS3 triloghy. Having played & enjoyed all of Naughty Dog's work this gen. I was very excited to play this.

First of all Jak 1.
The game was one of the earliest releases on the PS2 so obviously it looked like shit remastered in HD. It didn't age well at all. However, the cast of characters is great, especially Daxter (in all three games) featuring detailed & smooth animations the game design was nice for the most part. Gameplay features puzzles & melee combat across colorful & diverse environments. Platforming in the latter part of the game is a hit & miss unfortunately thanks to the awkward camera. This is an issue across all three games sadly.

Anywhozzle, overall I would rate it 8 outta 10.

Jak 2.
Jak 2 is the worst in trilogy. The game features gta-esque city design for almost all it's missions & general navigation, which is annoying due to the random encounters with the games NPCs called the Krimson Guards. The shooting gameplay is a chore because there is no lock-on. Check point system for the missions is messed up which forces you restart levells from the start if you mess up thanks to the stupid camera & overall it is dull & un-interesting for the most part save for it's plot. It has a nice little twist near the end.
The graphics however were improved a lot over the 1st one. It must have looked really nice on the PS2 in it's time. Jak also is more vocal in this one.

7 outta 10.

Jak 3.
It is much better compared to the 2nd one. It features a brand new location in the desert as well as the city from Jak 2. Everything is much more balanced in the gameplay now. It's fun all around. The last boss fight is really annoying though, lol.

Finsihed Tomb Raider.

Well it was a great game. Loved the new Lara and her origin story, a great fresh start for her.

The game was well paced. Had a great soundtrack and Atmosphere was amazing throughout, loved it. Graphics were pretty good, nothing outstanding but sill pretty good, Fire effects and lighting was great. Character animations were kinda rigid or maybe I have been spoiled by Uncharted .

Gameplay was good but can be improved upon a lot, it didn't felt polished. Liked the cusomizablity of weapons and such and having ablities/perks etc. Raiding tomb's was kinda fun. The cinematic sequences were, for the most part, great although some of them were kinda meh. Quick time event were really annoying, a real turn off.

Aside from Lara, there weren't any interesting characters in the game. Her friends were not developed and had poor voice acting. Lara voice acting herself was also sometimes not that good but the british accent kinda covered it .
