Batavia's Graveyard by Mike Dash

The unbelievable but true, stranger than fiction, more explosive than the most thrilling film ever made, story of the most brutal and bloody mutiny of history.

This is the story of the mighty ship Batavia which was carrying loads of gold, silver and gems and it was headed for Java for trade.Bad weather forced the ship to wreck near a tiny barren island near almost 50km from the coast of australia.

The ships 250/300 passengers and crew land on the island and what follows is the most strangest piece of history ever documented.

^Word of advise to anyone who wants to enjoy this book to the fullest is not read any reviews of the book or the wikipedia page about the Batavia as they are full of spoilers.

The writer Mike Dash has done a brilliant job as the book is meticulously researched.

Adrift - 76Days Lost At Sea by Steven Callahan

This is the true story of the writer himself of how he survived 76 days at sea in a small raft when his yatch sank in a storm.

This book reminds me of the Andes Plane Crash survivors who spent 72 days on the snow capped mountains of the Andes when their plane crashed due to storm.

Never the less, a remarkable book.

This is how the author looked after 76 days at sea.

Wow Chhowni
You are gonna have helluva time with this series, man. It's engaging and mystifying, sometimes frustrating, but that's part of it.
A Game of Thrones is extremely addictive! Takes me back to those Harry Potter days when the only free time I wasn't reading was when I was asleep. In fact, I've deferred watching movies, tv shows and playing games until I finish this.

'Unputdownable' in the true sense. Loving the way Martin has crafted his characters and the world they inhabit.

Couldn't agree more. Martin has done something wonderful with this world, without a doubt. The hook is the plot, the characters hold you in. The POV style works brilliantly, especially seeing that Martin delves into the depths of his characters.

Also, you reminded me of the time when I read (and reread and reread) Harry Potter. I came to that series when six books had been released. So during the intervening gap for the seventh book, I must have read the six books atleast 5 times. It was a simpler time. I didn't have distractions, worries, etc. My days were filled with school, playing and watching cricket, Harry Potter and video games. That's it. That was all I knew.

Ed Gein(1906-1984) was an american serial killer who's life story is the basis of a some of the most horrific films made.

The above book is written by the same judge who presided his case and who sentenced him to lifetime in prison.

I've read about a lot of twisted and deranged maniacs in my life but no one comes close to Ed Gein in depravity.

An unforgettable character and an unforgettable book.

Awesome, man.

1984 is just too damn good and I loved Pride and Prejudice as well, even though that is the only book from Jane Austen I have read.

The Great Gatsby, not a fan, but it is a classic and definitely worth a read.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
