So we are 5 individuals possibly will grow to 10 in the next coming months at my new employer. We've been given $1,000 to invest in the office for stuff that could beautify the office and also make our stay there more comfortable. This is in addition to i7 gpu laden lappies, the usual high speed internet.

My ideas were cheapest 32 inch tv, a console such as the 360 (for running non-original games), a blender for smoothies (free fruits will be arranged by employer in addition to healthy snacks), bean bags, space constriction since we are in mezzanine would mean possibly only darts for sports, stylish table lamps, branded tees posters of our own brands are all on the list already.

The challenge to you guys is if you were given $1,000 to spend to make your office a better place how would you spend it to the last penny. Because I had never anticipated such a thing I and my fellow colleagues really don't have much of an idea on this:p

P.S I am a gran turismo person so 360 can be interchanged with PS3, if someone can say a brand new ps3 can still run it on a few hundred rupees ki disc then the choice would be clear, waisay bhi sony's controller is love :D

Foosball table will cost half as much as the whole amount at the least, but space constraints might prevent it. Coffee machine might happen, the shashkay wali. The beverages such as chai coffee tou waisay hee unlimited but I suppose they will be self service.

You can place a Pool table or table tennis for some mind refreshing if you have enough space available.

Since you have some extra bucks why not jump to next gen console or a beast PC <3

Coffee machine ka Pakistan mein kitna useage hoga ? also it will difficult to buy different variety of grounded coffee beans ..

I suggested Fußball table because it can become VERY addicting and very competitive in office...or even table tennis ( if you have enough place)
But a console and TV is a must

You're either a coffee person or you aren't, there's no in-between. If you aren't, no amount of coffee is going to make you one. So unless a few people in your office are big fans of coffee, it'll be just like a fever. You'll get a coffee machine, everyone will get excited and use it because it's a new thing, but after a while people will just stop using it and it'll be just another useless thing in the office.

Well it depends....for example, the coffee machine in our office is one of those large multi functional ones which makes from hot water (for tee) , hot chocolate to 15 different kinds of coffees..but that's here in germany and two people come to service and take care of it once every month..I am badly addicted to coffee now

Exactly went through this phenomena my whole department in last place got addicted to coffee but when we broke the jug we just switched back to the drugs we were already on some on green tea some on sherbet tea and you know. I like my coffee black without sugar, when I need a push into the night. In the morning it feels too hardcore for me so green tea without sugar or black tea without sugar it is! So you can say man a in-between does exist kind of where you appreciate it for how its meant to be appreciated but not addicted to it :p

get a deck of cards for 100 bucks ... learn to play double siri ... and you are good ... now invest the rest of the money in a big ass tv, make one of your computers as media server for plex/xbmc and you have a nice media center ....

Orange 55" was for around 80 last i checked, its pretty darn good IPS panel, You can also get Ecostar in good rates ... you will still have money for a xbox one or ps4

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
