Noob questions about Battlefield 3!

Started playing this a few days ago and what the hell happened to it :S I don't like the frikking campaign at all! I want what I had in battlefield 1942 or road to rome or vietnam or the others!
So I figured for that I'll need to play online so here are the questions:

1. Where do I buy it from? I've someone in the U.S. Is it possible that they purchase the game from the origin (U.S website) and I use it to play online.
2. Can I use that game purchased from the u.s website to play online from Pakistan?

Yes I'm lazy so I won't bother to read the other threads if there are any on this particular subject

I do have MW3 as well but I wanted the BF1942 experience but apparently they've removed that for offline play.
And I don't want to go through all that russian language fuss. I think I'll just get it from origin.

You just have to replace 2 files in bf folder and there size is like less than 10KB... its not rocket science

Well yes the Battlefield 3 campaign is a tad bit dull.

The multiplayer is what you NEED.


I repeat. NEED to play.

Its an amazing experience.

I haven't played any other game since Battlefield 3 was released.

Daily 4 - 6 hour dose of BF3

ADD to this mix the fact that should you choose to buy Battlefield 3 and go multiplayer, you will find the 90 guys from PG round the clock playing it and that takes the fun factor to a whole new level when you're typing everything in urdu to coordinate with your teammates

Okay so I'm on the first step, downloading the clonedvd version since woot's key is RU version otherwise I could've just used the reloaded version of the game which I already have.
Anyway, this "back to karkand" thingy, will I have to get that too?

Yes. You'll have to buy it.

Question: Will I feel left out if I just buy the BF3 game without the expansion pack? Because right now I don't think it'll be possible to buy the expansion pack as well since I've spent quite a lot on the computer and other stuff.

Yes you will feel left out. You'll not be one of the cool kids!


The good news is YES you can still play plenty of servers and have a great time.

There are plenty of servers that have not, will not update to Karkand.

A lot of dedicated maps out there as well.

You will have an exciting time with those maps. An amazing gaming experience.

You can get the expansion pack later.

Get it from w00t because

1 - Origin doesn't accept local credit cards

2- w00t is safe, secure and he'll help you activate

3 - Be Pakistani, support Pakistani




and about Back to Karkand.

Do not. I repeat DO NOT worry about the multiplayer with just the original game

if U wanna Get from US then Buy the LIMITED EDITION of Game Where u will get game and EXPANSION PACK BACK TO KARKAND

if ur buying from here the game and getting Cheap B2K from ABROAD then go for it but i doubt if u can get cheaper than what woot is offering
