They took almost 3 to 4 years to develop GTA4 & they are taking only 2 years more (after GTA4) to develop the next GTA sequel. So you can expect this game to made with the same engine as GTA4. & Ofcourse some better graphics as well.
It will be better if they add a better character this time like Tommy Vercetti from GTA Vice City.

Ah....another GTA man...i am not really impressed with GTA4, GTA:SA was something that kept me in that universe for a long time!
Still play it when i have got nothing to do, mindless chaos! Who doesn't like that?lol!

This time around they need to bring a new structure a complete overhaul, rather than value addition(franchise milking)

Well i havent played the game much played it for 3-4days at my cuzions place.
But man same thing everytime i myself am a gta freak, the missions are always fun and interesting but i really want to see something new.

@r3aper.... you are right bro... There is a lack of something in that game. I think its the gameplay & that mental unsatisfaction about the graphics.
GTA SanAndreas was really an EPIC game in GTA sequel after Vice City. GTA4's storyboard is good but heavy graphics are killing the hype to play the game again & again.

GTA4 was boring after the whole storyline. Nothing much to do after that. No car modding ... no houses ... no aircraft to fly ... no huge deserts to go crazy on your dune buggy ... no army base to screw! Hell ... it had no army on 6 starzzz ... thats like half killing the GTA franchise. Army on 6 stars is something they've had since the original GTA!

Yup,it's going to be something like the San Andreas was to the GTA 3 or Vice City for that matter,the same engine with more space and stuff to do.

2 Years are not enough to make another GTA sequel. Since they launched GTA4, they will still wait to get the copies sell more.
So it could be a rumor.
