What are your other specs? If you run bunch of HDDs, blurays and a hexa-core CPU along with a big cooler obviously recommendation would be different.

For a basiq system, let's say, a medium OC'ed quad-core + 2 modules of RAM 1.65v + 1x optical drive and 2x HDDs will need a 430-450W minimum of power supply and 500-550W recommended from any credible/solid brand, such as Corsair, Antec, Thermaltake or Xigmatek.

I'd recommending getting an Antec 500 Watts "Green" (Delta made) PSU from IMX for ~6k.
Make sure you buy a good power cord for your system individually as Antec doesn't supply you one. :)

All the best.

is down at the moment, dunno why but if you're looking to buy a new PSU (which assume you want to). Else buy any branded PSU from PG marketplace.

HD 6870 consumes very less power as compare to other ATI 6xxx series GPUs apart from it's own little brother HD 6850.
Even Tom's Hardware recommended a 430W PSU for it in their system builder marathon of Sep. 2011.

Also, in that particular build they've mentioned old generation quad-core CPU which consumes little more power than current generation quad-cores (I assume you've an i5-2500/k).

I would suggest Xigmatek NRP PC502 (500W) PSU from IMX for 5200Rs

Antec EA500D (500W) is also good but will cost u 6000 Rs

It happens because of inability to understand the original post.
Nvm.

Also, HD 6870 fine, GTX460? Running a power supply at it's peak may result reduction of it's lifespan, always play safe and leave the headroom for something to be safe.

Yes it will, there are two models in the market one is EarthWatts 500 and second one is EarthWatts 500D. "D" one is more efficient than the simple one as well as expensive.
