[SOLVED] Need GPU Upgrade Advice

I have following setup for gaming.

CPU: i5 2500
Mobo: Asus P8 H61
RAM: 4 + 8 GB Kingston 1600MHz DDR3
GPU: Club 3D 7850 1 GB
PSU: Silverstone 80+ Brz 600W

I can play most games at Med to High settings. I want to be able to play new games at about 60fps on 1080p on high settings. I want to upgrade my GPU, is RX 460 2GB a good upgrade? It costs about 14k new. Can I get a better card in this price range (used card is good but don't suggest 4 or 5 years old cards). Thanks.

I'd say save up a little more and go for a tier above the 460 which is about 10-20% slower than a 7870 so you won't feel much of a difference from a 7850 IMO.

It wouldn't be much of an upgrade. You should at least buy 1050Ti. But at the same time, going beyond to buy more power full GPU would make your current processor a bottleneck. 1050Ti should be a reasonable upgrade

1050ti cost 150% of my current range of 14k. Is there a good GPU in this range that is not too old?

In 14k the only range of gpu's that you can buy are at the same level as your 7850, so dont waste your money until your current gpu stops working.

As others have already said its not worth spending 14k for a GPU that will give you an almost negligible performance boost compared to your current one. Save up for a better one in the future around the 20-25k range, thats where you'll find a worthwhile boost

this difference is only based on specs like bandwidth, clock speed etc and there is huge diff. in fps in gaming
