didn't know where to ask this but i am in a dilemma of sorts...recently moved to my own house and am having issues in my room...my room is quite big like bedroom is about 17x14 and its attached to a study/gaming room that's about 10x15aswell....now the architect didn't put a door or partition in it and the roof ls shaped like a pyramid of both rooms so the ceiling is quite high...now the issue im having is that my 1.5 ton ac is having a really hard time cooling my room cause of the frequent load shedding it takes quite a while to cool it and the room itself is on the first floor with the window side facing the sun from around 2pm onwards till dusk cause the neighboring plot is empty......now i needed advice regarding a door/partition like should i go with a wooden door or a glass door to keep them separate so the damn ac works...i have attached a picture as well the black lines part is where i want to put the partition so any ideas wooden door or glass door which would be better

Install another cardboard ceiling and out side the walls where sun rays hitting direct install polystyrene Foam and cover it up with bricks, then install wooden door heat doesn't pass through wood, then your ac will drop temp quickly and will maintain stable coolness

.....hahahahahaha actually my family cudnt decide what to put in it so he left the choice to us ...i wanted to get a glass door but as armada suggested wooden door seems a etter option considering it wont let heat pass through

If ur looking for aesthetics the go for something which Nanow has suggested or like this partition door

To address room height, get some false ceiling of gymsum or POP whatever u can afford!
