[NBA] Google Nexus 7 (2013 FHD) Problems

Guys need your feedbacks and suggestions

I wanted to buy Nexus 7 2013 for my wife so did a little bit of searching on google, and found out that it has problems related to touch features and etc....

Kindly suggest what to do now, How can we search for a newer batch and how to check that If the new batch have these problems solved.

Keeping in view a budget of 30-40k, is there any better alternative in terms of a tablet or mobile?

Touch screen problem is there in almost every Nexus 7 tablet. its even present in 2012 model of my friend's nexus 7

Its like when u put the tablet on bed, table or flat surface, it will not be able to identify some touches and literally makes it difficult to operate. But when u hold it in hands then the problem goes off. Its like earthing issue. If its attached to charger, there will be no such problem too.

So if u r kind of guy who places tablet on insulated surface then to be honest the problem exists in every Nexus device. All those claiming above that they dont have issues might not have attempted running it flat on table or bed without holding in hands

99% of time I hold it in hands so it rarely bothers me.


Otherwise the tablet is just perfect piece, I bought it thinking I will use for a couple of months and then sell it off but I dont feel like selling it. Its just superb..

Today I went to check at ShinPoint (Retailer shop of Shingtech), There they had nexus 7 with production date of Oct, 2013 written on its sticker.

Can you guys check on yours, and also will it be KitKat out of the box being manufactured in oct?

Just wanted to be sure that what I buying is the new batch, not the staring ones.

Also Users from Karachi kindly suggest from where to buy, as almost every retailer has these(the 16GB variants) and with almost difference of thousand. ranging from 27k to 33.5k (33.5k@Shing Point, dont know why they are high)

Get the new Nexus 7. If you're going to Google about problems, then you'll find them related to every single piece of tech ever released. They all have problems. But they're rare. Nexus 7 doesn't have any such widely reported issues. I used one myself, it was a new batch when the tablet was just released. I faced no such issues. It is the best Android tablet money can buy.

I've got a 2012 Nexus 7 and it works fine, whether its in or not in my hands, the screen has never had any problems.

Just get an ipad don't waste time in the nexus. I've had one running kitkat didn't like it

Just tested my Nexus 7 2012 the application you gave and detected all 10 Multi touch without issue and i tried on bed

even on the Application he mentioned to check touch the top comment was about NEXUS 7 2013 that he didnt face any multi touch issues with it

Make sure you are not using NAILS for Touching the screen as capactive touch doesnt detect that only Resistive works with nails

the tegra 3 is used for heavy duty games i presume

There was a developer who made a patch for it that really solved the issue But later it started appearing again after few days

It's very strange issue... holding in hands and while plugged in it works perfectly fine gives a hint that it might be hardware and grounding related but it works fine after a reboot for sometime and a patch to fix it means software issue...

Not confirmed yet where issue lies but it's not annoying unless you don't want to hold it

Well there may be issue but to be frank i havent faced any thing like that in normal usage either haven't noticed it,I even didnt knew about any such problem exists i checked it when you mentioned it
Well for suppose if it does exist i dont think if someone uses the tablet on ground / bed with multi fingers becoz thats uncomfortable position and he mostly uses one finger operation for multiple task

1 week return policy is on all product if u want 1yr warranty then 2k xtra
