Guys need your help on this, though in 18k a basic android is affordable but suggest which one should i go for.

I have selected few, on the basis of display and processing speed.
camera with flash is a plus:)

-Samsung Galaxy Gio
-HTC wildfire S

If any other option in this budget(or plus 2-3k) than let me know please.

The problem with Android phones in this range is that they have slower processors and limited ram. Android is power hungry OS and it needs power. It is designed to perform better on faster and multi-core chips.

The prices of these will attract you for now.
When you get the phone, you will probably be the most happiest on the earth.
But with the use, and pretty quickly, it starts to show its problems.
I, myself has had personal experience with such devices, where many of my friends bought these devices and similar phones for cheap, ~14k to ~20k, and within a month all of them, all of them regretted their buy.

Have you looked into other options? iOS and Windows Phone?

Plz elaborate more, what you meant. Are you referring to performance degradation?

Yes, I am referring to performance degradation.

They are typically running 800MHz processors, which isn't the way it should be.
Android needs power. It even takes the new dual-core phones to extreme, therefore causing lag and stuff.

Personally I would look into 3GS or First-Gen Windows Phone.

You can get almost all of the first gen phones within your budget.
Have a look at Omnia 7, Mozart, and HD7
Trust me, you wont regret it

3GS is a great choice.

I 100% agree with MaryFarrukh.
The same thing happened when i bought a Htc My touch 3g slide with a 600Mhz processor:ninja:.At first i thought that it is the best phone but as i used it i realized it is slow:unsure:.Then i bought a SGS and im 100% satisfied with it.Trust me you wont get the true feel and might of the android platform with a low end phone.
If you do want a android phone raise your budget so you can atleast buy a mid range phone.

Don't get confused. Its simple. You will not get the most out of your money.

Have a look at HTC Mozart, Samsung Omnia 7 and 3GS.
I would recommend getting a Windows Phone device.

They're both garbage. Like its mentioned here already the performance will suck and the experience will be poor on these phones. I haven't used Gio but I have used Wild Fire S and it has the worst mobile screen I've ever used. Either find a used Desire or get a different OS (Windows Phone 7)
