My First gaming PC

Hello Guys !!

I am gonna buy my first gaming PC after Eid Inshallah . So I checked PG's Gaming PCs but those PCs were completely over my budget . So I stacked up some info on motherboards and stuff from GALAXY . Here is what i wanted :
1. Motherborad : MSI AM2 MB K9MM AGP Slot Box Pack for Rs.2500
2. 120 GB Hard Disk : 2500
3. Ram : 1 GB for Rs.2600
4. Graphics Card : XFX Geforce PCX 8500 GT ( 1 GB ) for Rs.6000
5. Gaming Keyboard : X7 G800 for Rs.1200
6. LCD Monitor ( For PC and Ps3 ) : 17" Compaq Black (Used) for Rs.3000


Here is what I have :
1. Motherboard : Intel D865
2. 20 GB Hard Drive
3. 512 MB Ram
4. Intel Pentium 4 2.24 GHz
5. 64 MB Graphics Card

Now I want you guys to advise on what new stuff I should Buy in these list and what I should not buy and I have a Dell Branded Box ( rectangular ) PC .

First can you tell me is my motherboard OK for a Gaming PC and can the Graphic Card in the list be supported by my Box PC ?
And where can I get the HDMi Cable ?

Your Convenience would be appreciated by me .

ram 1gb for 2600 are u ok ? dont go for ddr
go for ddr2 will save u a few bucks.
best ddr2 for gaming get a 1gb corsair xms2 for 1750

graphics atleast 8600gt or 9600gso

cheapest board for pure gaming
motherboard atleast p5kvm
its the best has 45nm support 4 ddr2 slots others sata and can support quad core and it has a pci-e 2.- slot x16 better than agp .
best for overclocking 6300rs.

hm also think about ur current processer
c2d's are now considered good for gaming.

increase ur bugdet to 5300 rs more for better gaming experience
on other items are good to go.

actually am looking myself for a hdmi cable !

You know bro, you can do away with a mediocre PC if you have an X360 already and planning to get a PS3.

Bhai ! I have checked GALAxy FOR THESE prices and they are fine ! Anyways My brother owns the 360 so I can't play that much and for those of you who care can you please type the prices and names of stuff !
And babloo can you please tell me the total I have to spend and well I can't spend that much ! And Yaar Isn't my current motherboard OK for Gaming cause I have Played Carbon and Most Wanted on it without any error except from the GPU and Ram !!
I will also keep upgrading , I am just asking if this PC is OK to play a few games like DMC4 and Burnout Paradise ( since I can't play it on PS3 )
And oh Fawad Bhai I may not buy my PS3 if I upgrade my PC .

And oh Azhar Bhai , Sorry the price I listed was for a CRT Monitor the LCD one cost around Rs.6000

Those of us who care already told you, in detail, the configuration most ideal for decent PC gaming. Just check the last thread you made in HW section.

anywez hamza i think you should go for the p5k-vm
the corsair xms 2 gb ram
and atleast a better graphics card like the 9600 gso...

Guys How much does 8600 GT cost ?
And Fawad Bhai The prices listed on PG are way above my Budget so I didn't consider this . And Oh the Gaming PCs on Galaxy clearly state that for first users 8500 GT is the best !!

if ur gonna play hd games like crysis warhead ,far cry 2 and gta4 or other high def games
dont even think about getting 9400 8500gt .atleast a 8600gt or ati 3650 and up.
better frame rates ,better resoultion ,better textures then a better card.

bro i wud giv u m sincere advice n tht is if u got a budget lyk 16k its way waaaaaay better to save up and get a ps3.....such pcz r useless..u wont be able to game,,ie the main purpose for u to get this pc...so if u want a better gaming experience tht u want to last for 3-4yrs go get a ps3..!!

Dont spend on a gaming PC, it is better that you get yourself Xbox360 instead, and enjoy gaming,.....

But if you still want, yes something could be done, like Processor, Motherboard and GPU will have to be bought used.....
