My Dog broke my GPU. :( :( Need advice

Ok, so now that i have you attention, i'll get on with my question.

So after some unfortunate events and problems, i had to change my PC's specs a little bit from

E2200
P35 Neo ( Broken)
8800GT (supposed to be broken as well)
CM 460W PSU

to

E2200
Intel DG41WV ( had to buy this, dont ask why )
8800GT
CM 460W PSU


The Story:

A month ago my pc gave me problems( i made a few topics on PG about this as well), so after giving the PC to 3 repair shops in islamabad, they told me that my processor was bad/broken. So keeping that in mind, i got myself a new processor and put it in my motherboard. To my surprise i still had the same issues as before ( wasted 2000 Rs on so called repairs :s :s ) . Anyway, i yet again gave my PC to another shop for repairs and they told me that my processor was fine ( like i hadn't figured this out by now ) and there was something wrong with my motherboard. As i was short on cash, i had to get a LGA 775 motherboard ( ) and got myself an Intel DG41wv ( cheapest available). So i gave my pc to the same shop to assemble everything. They called me today and told me that my graphics card was broken as well and its not working on the new motherboard ( just what i needed, some ass in those repair shops broke it i believe).

So why this thread? I need some GPU advice

My Budget is around 9k ( cant exceed this), and i'm not sure what to get. I need something that'll run on my CM 460W power supply as i dont want to upgrade this as well.

Already mentioned in the first post. Its 9k (max) . I dont want to get a used card, so thats out of question.

gts 250 is best for u dont go for 9800Gt is old and 250 is way powerful then that... and when i saw ur title i though that dog came inside ur out and went inside the pc and broke ur gpu (lmao)

GTS 250 is out of stock on IM extreme, what do you guys think about XFX HD 6670? Is it good? I heard XFX cards have heating issues

EVGA is the best, after that I would recommend the XFX. But do keep in mind that XFX HD 6670 is the ATI radeon card and I don't prefer ATI. Simple is go to any shop or surf the internet and buy a used GTS 250 with any distributer(EVGA or XFX or ASUS). you will easily get it in your budget

Go for it. I would recommend HD6670 over GTS250 because it is equal to in performance or a bit faster than GTS250 in almost all benchmarks and it has DX11 where as GTS250 is DX10 only and consumes more power than GTS250.

Which benchmarks have you been looking?

For reference GTS 450 is about 12% faster than GTS 250 not 27%. That makes the difference between GTS 250 1GB and 6670 about 15%. Now the 512MB GTS 250 would be a bit slower but I would think still faster than 6670. And DX11 doesnt matter for low end cards lol.

The thing is, i dont want to buy a used GPU. I dont feel comfortable with them. So by the looks of it, its either a 9800GT or a HD6670(xfx)

If you wana go for XFX/AMD, its better to upgrade to XFX 6790 for 14200.
other options are crap.

If you are concerned about buying used GPU, simply make sure to buy in warranty and from a PG member who has good rep.
Otherwise either wait to increase budget for new card or as members suggested sell your DOG btw which breed?
