Thank you so much I appreciate your encouragement. I have spend almost more than a year before buying any of the expensive stuff above took my time to research and be patient. The downside is that I couldn't demo any of the stuff I had bought they were all leap of faiths

SE846 i like that....good headphones in sub1000$ range( if you wanna sell them let me know, i can gift it to my nephew)

though i use these ones...they are around Rs 275000.... the kaiser encore....

Do you have any recommendations for a full size over ear headphone in approximately 200$ to 300$ range

I currently have a Shure se-215s (running via balanced cables from Fio) for IEM and V-Moda XS, they are both powered through Fio Q1 MKII amp/dac for mobility reasons.

I can get stuff shipped from Massdrop as some relatives live in the US, i am considering the HD6XX massdrop editions or HIFIMAN HE 4XXs or since i liked meze audio's classic the new massdrop meze noir (dont know about this much though). would love to have your recommendations

Music is run via phone/PC mixed flac and youtube.

Thanks for your appreciation and sure for around that price you can get HD6XX or the new HD58X jubilee which is a tweaked HD660s at bargain of a price I was inches away from scoring one myself but then I stopped as I am saving for another high end open back can. You can also get HE400i in used market for 200$ or so but its bit bright and quite a departure from the se215 sound it pairs well with proper tube amps though. If you're not into spending more in the audio gears then HD58X Jubilee would be nice its easier to drive and for the ultimate mobile experience i would recommend Hifiman Edition X V2 but that's 1300$ before tax.

Hahaha I am 1988 born so definitely not listening to very old music however I do listen to some classics especially remastered ones and listen to everything mostly RnB, hip-hop, rap, punjabi, urdu/hindi, pop, some rock, a bit of jazz.

However most of the brilliant singers like Muhammad rafi, Nustrat fateh ali, jagjit sing and the lot died way too early before their work could be properly recorded and mastered as you can hear all the tiny details on this all the nuances.
