Somehow I am getting an oppertunity to move to Isloo, and I myself want to move there too due to my personal reasons or you can think as I am escaping from karachi at the moment.

but I am really confused, to me Isloo is a best place to live for those who love nature and want a peacefull life or islo can be a place you can settle after getting retired from your job but for a person like me who think as his weekend wasted couz he didnt hangout with friends or didnt had any family gathering with his friends circle, or didnt had a chance for hoteling n outing etc etc ( you know how karachi people live )....let say I can still avoide that part by thinking in a realistic way that isloo will be a new place for me and it will take time for me to adjust and have some good friends circle and there is no doubt the pain will be inevitable leaving all my friends behind... those friends who has been with me since my childhood, may be I will be able to convince 1 or 2 friends to move to isloo as well but thats just a fart in the air, not everyone can leave their birth places easily.

so lets just say if I move to isloo hows life, I talked to few friends of mine about moving and everyone said 1 thing same that isloo is expansive, my question is how expansive Isloo is, is it rents we are talking about or grocery or (quality)education or utilities, whats the cost of living for a middle class family???

honestly I still can not decide if I am thinking in a right pattern or not, may be I am just confused or may be I am afraid of moving away from my loved ones that I supposidly can not live without or may be I am still not mature enough to handle things by my own alone.

so I thought to share it with you guyz to give me some reality hits, what do you guyz think, this question goes for both my karachites and islooiites brothers.

please don not crap about either cities, I know they are entirely different and hold no comparison.

and please if you think of writing something in this thread make sure it makes sense.

Utilities cost the same as they do in karachi as do intl brand fast foods/ food joints. Veggies are expensive, milk, fresh is cheaper, but packaged milk is the same. Fresh meat is again more expensive but i think knn chicken is nearly on par. Petrol is a tad more expensive due to inland transport , but its a few paisas as is cng and diesel

Isd has the best internet in pakistan in terms of service and reliability. Has mostly good clean roads. Weather is extreme with hot summers and cold winters.

U will esperience 10 hrs load shedding though.

It has all the usual hangout places. Night life now is vibrant provided u have friends who know the happening places. Since the opening of centaurus mall we finally have a multiplex or a functional cinema after many years, had to travel to pindi for this before.

You cant really compare khi to isd. Khi is huge and home to many millions, isd is small but its no longer a dead city

You will witness rain more than 2-3 times each year plus a chance to witness snowfall in person if your lucky. Not a bad move since karachi these days is a warzone. I know anything can happen anywhere only Allah knows but still the current situation in karachi is kinda depressing. Iam sure you will find new friends here

You won't have as many hangout options though as you have in Karachi ... And never come to Rawalpindi .. You'll hate it ! :p

This man speakth the truth.

ISB is a peaceful and beautiful city. You will get the best internet there(Nayatel) and education quality is also very good. There are some big name schools/colleges and Universities in Islamabad. There are also a lot of foreign living in Isloo. But it lacks the tasty food places of Karachi and is a bit dull in term of outings.

Although, you can go for mountain hiking or explore the beauty of murree, which is near to Islamabad.

ISB is shit. Crap traffic. Crap people. Crap places. No parking EVER in F-6/F-7. Loadshedding is annoying as hell.

Bahria Town :D
No traffic. Parking everywhere. Has most of the restaurants that are in Islamabad. And best of all, NO LOADSHEDDING. There's a supermarket in every damn phase. It has two amazing cinemas. And affordable houses. What more do you want?

Around 15 years ago when we used to live was in Rawalpindi (the only place i remember is Shakkarpariyan :D) & then Isloo (don't remember which area was it where we lived), i had only one complain. The neighbors.

Everyone used to mind his own business, & incase something happens (something drastic, or some death), no one comes around asking "sub kheriyat hay?"

Friends and some family members living there tell me situation is still the same.

I honestly think that cities like Karachi, Lahore are far better places to live. Dangers are there, but then its Pakistan and Dangers are everywhere. If you think that moving to Islamabad from Karachi will solve the situation for you them you are wrong.

I think that's a good thing, I hate nosy people and neighbours who can't mind their own goddamn bussiness.

Its not like they Neighbors invade your privacy. And it seems you haven't really gone through such a situation where neighbors would come in handy.

I personally think it totally depends on u how u live in a community ... One can live an isolated life in Karachi n one can have best friends even in skardu ... But it is somewhat a fact as most isloo waltz r settlers n quite well-off so like most rich people they lack certain traits but there r few sectors where common people live n one can see the element of relationship ... In the end it all depends on u how u will live among them ...
Living in a community n having good relations with ur neighbor requires initiative from ur side ... After all ull be shifting to a new neighborhood ...
N kids here blaming pindi or else well both cities take benefit from each other may it be cheaper things or better facilities ... But being in these twin cities one can have the taste of both posh areas n livelihood environment of typical punjabi city n also protection of cantonment ...
But over all Karachi is by far much cheaper place to live ... Especially from food items n varieties of goods n their availability ...
But I dnt like the super busy areas may it be anywhere ...
Btw ru shifting ur self due to some job offer or with ur parents???

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
