The same didn't work for me. I am using AN1020-25 modem. WMF was already enabled when I went to wireless setting. The app successfully fetches channel list, but channel don't appear, black screen, as when you start app.

Is your Smart TV PC App has been activated from back end, if not then get it activated since that's the only reason your are getting black screen or you might have configured incorrect settings for Smart TV PC App.

The answer to your question is a kind of yes and kind of no. Yes in that perspective if all your LAN ports are free and not dedicated when you configure one particular port for Smart TV Receiver. No in that case since if you are using Smart TV receiver and you have dedicated a particular port lets say LAN Port#2 then the traffic for Smart TV Receiver will only pass through that particular port not the other ports or Wireless LAN. So its better if you share a couple of SS(Screen Shots) of how did you setup your Smart TV so that I might point you in the right direction.

uhh , just one question , do i need to get this app activated from back end ? i already have smart tv so if i need to it activated would i have to pay 250 exta?

i want to play Ptcl smart tv on my samsung s3 i downloaded this app from ptcl's website "webtv-tv6.apk" and installed it on my S3 now it shows me all channels but it cannot play any channels just show some network error, its playing fine on my pc, any help???

Bro don't use ptcl useless smart tv apk instead go to playstore and download iptv aap which has a blue color logo. Its the best smart tv aap which allows you to watch lag free channles via mx player if you have used that as well.

Its better to ask customer support representative about this but don't tell anything else...just to be on the safe side. And report back to me.

^so i called ptcl , they told me to look for port maping under wan option but there was no such option , i am using latest ptcl tenda modem , anyways they told me ,i will get a call after hour from their expert team which can guide me on how to setup pc app , waited for 1 hour , no call came :mad: really angry on them...

Anyways i know to get to that port mapping option on my router but no idea what to do next. And yes this service is free for existing smart tv users.

Note: Those people who are facing Black Screen even after accurate settings on their modem they need to activate their Smart TV PC App individually because the reason you are facing is just because your port for Smart TV PC App hasn't been upgraded or you could give it another try by simply applying the same settings on another Modem if you own any. Otherwise you have no other option rather then getting subscribed to this TV Service individually.

One more important thing that most of the members here shared with me in the past and as well as few days back that is "Some people are able to run Smart TV PC App without any subscription by just applying the same settings just like the Smart TV PC App owners, well the reason this is happening is because you are lucky and PTCL guys have no idea that you are using this service for free but it has one drawback that is it eats your current Bandwidth, where as if you have subscribed for this particular service then it doesn't, so those who are unable to run Smart TV PC App should get this particular service subscribed, if they want to avail this Service".

If my ptcl Modem is bridged to the router will it still work ? or its for standalone Modem Settings?

It will work. But its better if your router consists of WMF which will stop the picture breaking and jittering.

where to look for this feature. im using asus ac68u router. i have something called multicast rate.

and can you please post the settings for iptv ? ..vpi/vci value and all?

Look this Feature in Wireless Category. As for VPI/VCI if you're on Copper then put these: VPI=0 VCI=102 and if you're on Fiber then put these: VPI=8 VCI=35.
