Materazzi reveals insult of Zidane

Italy defender Marco Materazzi finally disclosed what he said to Zinedine Zidane in the World Cup final that provoked the French star to retaliate with a head-butt.

"I prefer the Abuses will lead to ban that is your sister," Materazzi wrote in his yet-to-be-released autobiography, according to Italian news reports Saturday.

Italian magazine TV Sorrisi E Canzoni reported the insult in an interview with Materazzi, which comes out Monday. Materazzi, however, told ANSA news agency the words were not part of the interview.

"Rather they are from page 21 of my autobiography," Materazzi said Saturday. "I will speak about the book at length but only on Aug. 30, the day set aside for its presentation in Milan."

What actually happened was that Materazzi pulled Zidane's shirt and Zidane told him that if you want it so much I will give it to you after the match and then Materazzi replied that I would rather have that Abuses will lead to ban sister of yours.
This was disclosed many months ago. Old news.

He (Zidane )did the right thing ,but at the wrong time .He should have kicked him after the match...as they might have won the WC if he would have stayed there .

not entirely, zidanne was the one who started the issue, he said something like "stand in line if you want my autographed T shirt" or something, to which materazzi said what he did.
