You can play it but never complaint when your Console get banned by Microsoft after activation of Ban Hammer. Since lot's of great titles have been released this month, many got leaked even before their official release date, so to ensure interest of Developers they planned this whole strategy. It's a recommendation to keep everyone safe from a Ban, else it's up to you.

I said, OFFLINE. How would playing offline affect me in any possible way even if a banhammer hits?

Playing offline affected your console? How so? That's not possible, virus only attack when your'e up online so the sneek into your connection/network.

You aren't going to be affected offline with current XGD3 and XGD2 games. Play them offline as much as you want. Just dont play future big releases yet ( wwe 12 e.g) as microsoft is eventually going to integrate this in the games.

I got flagged this morning man :/ Can't play AC: Brotherhood. Is there any solution to it yet? I went to the guy who modded my xbox n he says i'll have to remod my xbox, n it'll work. But i read on the net that this won't fix the problem. What do you guys think?

P.s. Can't play gears3 and mw3 either. But isnt AC:brotherhood supposed to work on lt1.9? It should work right? I can play older games (e.g. Mortal Kombat, gears2 etc)

Okay Gentlemen, here is the situation!

I've been playing retail games 2 years straight without ANY backups or piracy. That changed due to extreme gaming drought of summer 2011 which ended with the released of Deus Ex: HR. I finally re-entered the dirty business of piracy to play games that probably didn't deserve my hard earned money, e.g. Crysis 2.

Just a month later, Gears of War 3 hit the markets with XGD3 and I'm stuck with pre-Gears of War 3 games, which weren't many. I only finished Crysis 2, Mafia II & Deus Ex: HR backups. My initial plan was to buy a 250GB Xbox 360 S but faced another hiccup. Microsoft had announced Matte Black 250GB, which I prefer over Glossy finish...but its still NOT available here. I've been playing Battlefield 3 since October 25 without any problems so far on the console modded with LT+ 1.9.

Yesterday, I got accepted into Xbox Live Dashboard Fall 2011 Update Preview Program and I downloaded the new dashboard. Played BF3 today. The dae.bin probably got installed ofcourse but I did not have any AP2.5 backup to test.

Till today evening I didn't have ANY idea about all this dae.bin and after delaying for the umpteenth time I decided to get my console modded to LT+ 2.0, which I did. The guy tested Gears of War 3 which is XGD3/AP2.5 title and it worked just fine.

Now, I'm a bit confused. If the dae.bin got installed on my console last night or today when I was online, then why did that XGD3 Gears 3 work. The guy thinks that once I go online, dae.bin will get installed AGAIN and I will get flagged.

The question is, will dae.bin get installed AGAIN? I'm not sure if anyone has the answer, but it is an interesting situation.

I really wish 250GB Matte Black finish becomes available soon.

And Yes Raptorian, most likely the dae.bin would get installed again if you go live.

no doubt it will be installed if it is not thruh the live then any new game you get might as well have it

I am pretty much clear if you can understand. What I meant is if you went online in last 30 hours or so then your dae.bin file has already been modified and it has been reported that lots of XGD3 and AP2.5 backups aren't working on Modded Consoles which is the indication for a flag. Hope I made myself clear, not everyone is lucky to have two consoles (Modded + unmodded) so please do some research before posting any claim

Since dae.bin file will be different for each console so the behavior is random some not able to play Modern Warfare3 and some Gears of War 3 etc... Currrently there is definite way to verify whether that update is installed on your console or not but If you have a modded console and went online either yesterday or today then your .bin file has been updated. Try some other XGD3 games for verification, if you haven't found any game that is not working then you haven't been flagged, this is the reason why recommend not to play XGD3 games even Offline if you are planning to go on LIVE. You never know which XGD3 or AP2.5 turns out to be unlucky for you and becomes the reason for a flag

not everyone is lucky to have two consoles (Modded + unmodded) so please do some research before posting any claim

Almost all of the pirates abroad and many pirates who go to live have 2 consoles. Even i can't afford 2 consoles.

And Now you are clear. Before i was just inquiring about offline play, go through the thread. :>

I was on live yesterday and i think the far.bin installed. Can't play mw3 anymore but all the other xdg3 games work fine. Is their any solution that i can use to play mw3 offline?

Ok so i read the comments and i'll try to answer most of the questions. This is written by me so i might be wrong. Just tell me if something is wrong


Q. How is this dae.bin updated?
- If you connected your 360 to live in the last 3-4 days then most probably your dae.bin is updated

Q. I was connected to live bt didnt update/play online. Is my dae updated?
- Most probably, YES. This was a stealth update and it didnt ask you before updating and didnt even tell you that your dae is being updated

Q, How do I know if my dae.bin is updated
- if you cant play new games (mw3, geow3 etc) and you are getting an unsupported disc error then your dae is updated. Just run some xgd3 and ap2.5 games that used to work before. IF they all are working then thank Allah and keep your 360 disconnected If some games dont work then youre the unlucky one

Q. Mw3 works bt bf3 doesnt, does this mean i'm safe?
- If you were able to play bf3 before and not now then your dae is updated, The dae is unique for each console so its possible that one game working for you is not working for your friend and vice versa

Q. I have been playing mw3 offline. Is my dae updated?
- NO. your dae is updated ONLY IF YOU CONNECTED TO THE NET

Q. Can I still play games offline?
- If some pirated games work then you can play this bt IF YOU CARE ABOUT GOING ONLINE THEN DONT as you will be flagged for a ban

Q. How do i know if i'm flagged?
- You dont. There is no way to know that

Q. My dash is still 134XX or whatever does that mean mine isnt updated yet?
- No the dae doesnt change your dash version,

Q. Can i play legit games or will i be flagged for that too?
- LEGIT GAMES ARE SAFE TO PLAY

Q. Which consoles are affected?
- NOT CONFIRMED bt i think all consoles are affected EXCEPT JGAT

Q. Will i be able to play games again after reflashing/modding/raping my 360?
- NO. The dae is updated on the NAND (motherboard) so doing anything wont help

Q. My 360 doesnt run pirated games and i am too poor/lazy/spoiled to buy legit games. what do i do?
- Just pack your xbox to keep it safe from dust or put it in your drawing room untill something comes up
