The irony that PS4 fanboys are getting excited over DS4 functionality that isn't even possible across all games on the console that it was designed for. Actually, a failure on Sony's part. For shame really.

Right analog stick continues to be the worst way to play games.

PS4 hater (despite owning one and not owning the console he praises) continues to hate :ROFLMAO:

Also, Gravity Rush 2 and several VR games lol.

Not possible "across all games" implies that only a few games do.

2 games = ALL games

What a dumb ass the OP is. Nothing new there.

Your statement was vague to begin with, so pardon me for being "dumb". Could've just said, "there's no console-wide support for the functionality". On that subject, maybe things will be different on PS5.

Personally, I don't use the gyro functionality but ds4 really shines on PC thru steam/ds4windows, much more so than on a ps4.

On the other hand Xbox controller is plug and play on PC, so it has that going for it

Yep. DS4 is in a weird middle ground between Steam Controller and Xbox controller.

Having used all options (except for Nintendo's offering), Xbox offers the best controller on PC for plug n play functionality across all storefronts for people who are already accustomed to analog sticks in all genres or want to use it for games which rely less on camera controls and aiming.

DS4 is good for people who want to avoid analog stick and get gyro functionality and can't get their hands on a Steam controller now. But you have to use 3rd party softwares for compatibility which can get iffy at times. Not to mention the on screen prompts won't always match and DS4 has terrible battery life even with lowering lightbar through settings.

Steam controller is by far the best option if you have already decided to tinker around with software for compatibility. The controller API gives you full customizable controls leading to almost infinite possibilities. Even though other controllers are compatible with the API, the lack of back pedals, dual stage triggers, and track pads limits the possibilities greatly. DS4 is essentially a vastly inferior Steam Controller and a slightly higher polling rate can't overcome the short comings of missing hardware functionality that Steam Controller provides (that too at a lower price point for people who already purchased it).

Most important deduction here then is, that the right analog stick can go and cry in a corner for eternity. No place for this archaic and sluggish input method for shooters, camera and cursor control in games.

The DS4's gyroscope has a polling rate (wired) of 250Hz while the Steam controller has a polling rate (wired) of 170Hz. The difference is even greater when wireless, owing to the DS4's lower wireless latency. It's a substantial difference, whichever way you look at it.

Linus talks about a new option called flick stick that lets you snap your view in the direction that the analog stick is pushed towards in 360 degree space. This in conjunction with the DS4's vastly superior gyro functionality provides a much better experience than what the Steam controller offers. In fact, it's already better than the Steam controller based on the difference in gyro capabilities alone lol.

Probably cut 25K because he also made this video in the past :ROFLMAO:

But Linus is still better than people who complain about polling rates and repeatedly call 30fps games the best "playing" and "feeling" games :ROFLMAO:

The best controller is from the 8bit Do.

It works with Nintendo Switch and is built like a tank. Seriously after using a controller from this 8bit Do, you will feel like PS and XBOX controllers are some cheap plastic. DPAD feels like proper DPAD. Clicky and clear and great for fighting games.

On PC it connects in two ways.

Start+X will connect it as Xbox controller and steam recognizes it natively.
Start+Y will connect it as Nintendo PRO controller and steam recognizes it natively. With the screenshot taking capability like Switch

On a DS4, Last of Us Remastered has input lag comparable to a 30fps game. How bad would it be originally at 30fps? This is the game people called the "best playing third person shooter". But but but muh polling rate. :ROFLMAO:

God of War, base PS4 input lag

~260ms for moving Kratos.

Tank of War!

edit: I measured the time from when the analog stick is fully pressed in the right direction to the moment Kratos starts movement. If you consider the time from exactly the moment you flick the analog stick, the input lag actually crosses the 300ms mark.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
