Anywhere in the world :p
Guys , I have to decide which one to buy in the next month. My budget is around 75000 PKR flat. Won't go above this probably.
What I am going to be using it for :

Well, the primary aim of what i get will be to browse the web over Wifi or cellular networks, Read plenty of ebooks, and perhaps access facebook and other pages. Some music and movies in 720p wouldn't hurt either. I won't be playing games on this , as I already have a gaming rig.

What I know so far :

Ipad 4 : Designed by apple , It is a great solution to carry your stuff in portable manner. I am scared it might however not be compatible with different ebook formats I have. Also I don't know If i have to buy everything or not, because on my xperia arc s, I just use google play to download everything. I don't wanna spend cash on buying apps, or listening to music. The thing however, I do like is, that it's small and I can carry it everywhere.

Google Nexus 7: I am more familiar to androids, as I am using them and this would be a bonus. But I've heard android tablets have a weak battery life and the Google market isn't that rich in apps. I don't wanna be getting ebooks and having compatibiilty problems.

Laptop : I want a core i5 laptop if possible, but core i3 is fine too, if budget is too low. The main problem is I will have to carry it back and forth everyday to ma office and back , and frankly that's a big pain in the ....... I cant lock ma office as it's not safe there.

So here it is. Want a tablet or laptop for browsing, music, 720p movies and ebooks. No gaming. What should I go for ?

Please any answers would be appreciated also with reason why you prefer that over the other. Thank you so much : )

pffftttttt... iPad 4 (piece of crap).
Why not get a Google Nexus 10? BTW Nexus 7 has great battery life, my friend brought it to school to connect it to speakers and the battery was 86% when he brought it, I played Shadow Gun first and then music for 3 hours was playing, battery went down to 62% only. So reading ebooks won't be a problem.

BUT. With the 75k budget you can get a great laptop that does everything.

One thing you need to do is to avoid opinions of people like murtaza12 ; people who have unnecessary hate or extremely strong opinion towards a certain product. All you'll end up doing is misguiding yourself.

I agree with @Lord Ammar people like @murtaza12 always misguide people.so try to stay away from the opinion of these people and alway listen to people having reason.Right now your best choice is laptop.i know it's a headache to carry it around with you but u don't have to worry about paying for any app or any compatibility issue.

@ ammarzubair : to be honest, that thought did occur before i thought i might have bettet options. Have you personally used samsung galaxy note 2? If yes, tell me how it is ? : )

@ lord ammar : yea , and i really cant be bothered with the hassle of buying apps all the time. I agree with you though, on the front , that people express strong likes or dislikes should generallly not be used as a yardstick to measure product usefulness : )

@ murtaza : yaar laptop ko har rozz carry karna and office is wapis lana...... Argghh ... Honestly a pain !!!

@ iamlegend : i think macbook pro is beyond ma range.

@ mary : i just looked it up. While it does have an ssd and some eye catching specs , the screen resolution is only 1366 x 768 ... Much lower than a nexus or ipad's retina display. Have u used it ? Own it ? If yes how do you find it ? I guess ill research on surface RT a bit more : )

@ adeelahmed : thats really unfair to point out people in a crowd with their names as being biased. In all fairness to him he did say laptop which is the same thing you're saying : )

@ muhanmad : yaar nexus 10 bi dekh loonga... Assume its 7 or 10. Dont worry !

Ill take ma sweet tyme deciding this one cuz i dun wanna spend cash on something ill regret. Opinions can keep coming please : )

lifeinabucket Surface RT is good, and do look into Nexus 10 too. I agree with the laptop part though.

First of all Ask yourself! What are you daily computing requirements and what purpose it will serve.

Tablets have their own advantages but they can't perform like a fully loaded laptop.

For a budget of 75K go for a good laptop and if you can manage a deal from USA in the next week ( on blackfriday sale) it would be a steal.

I've used all Ipad's that have come out to date. They all mainly come with the problem of having a really large key pad, which makes it hard to type fast or accordingly. Although the new Ipad HD has an excellent retina display. Nexus 7 has a much better keypad, a nice display, but a smaller screen.

Basically if you prefer iphones or ipods, then you'd also prefer an Ipad as they're main interface is almost the same in usage. However, as said earlier, nexus 10 for the price is unbeatable, again i.e. if you're Not an apple person.

iPads have a feature of split-keyboard i.e. the keyboard splits into two, one part in the left and the right.

It totally Depends Upon You If You Can Buy Apps all the time then ipad is good to go good battery life then android One thing that is good in android is it offer's wide range of customization as compared to ipad
Both offer's same apps You can find same app on android and apple store
good thing about android market is that its fast as compared to apple store More free apps than apple

Personally I would say go to ipad Its great Android still have bugs its software is not reliable

Bro I'll give u 2 advices

1) either buy a netbook(much lighter & longer battery life than laptops)

2) iPad 4 simply bcz it's latest & greatest from Apple don't listen to fanboys bcz they'll confuse u even more.
