Baker reflects on first time he saw a PS4 cinematic from 'inFamous: Second Son'
Recently, Baker discussed the important elements both he and Sucker Punch wanted to have present if he were to work on the project, as well as his reaction to the first time he saw a cinematic from inFAMOUS: Second Son, running on the PS4.
"First is my face, we had this beautiful opportunity to explore new technology. With the advent of the new console (PS4), there were some limitations that were lifted and we could finally explore, what does it look like if we have the fidelity we've always wanted?
"What was great was that Sucker Punch took a very philosophical approach by saying, 'the technology will serve the performance and the second that it doesn't we'll pull it out.' So there was a lot of trust that went into that, they were trusting the tech, we were trusting that the tech was going to pick-up this performance and it was really liberating because we got to bring a lot of subtlety and nuance.
"The first time I saw some of the cinematics come back, I was like, 'oh my God that's us.' It's very, very close to who I naturally am," Baker said.
