You may find many guides of how to install windows from usb but after trying all I'm sharing the easiest one.

When you google "installlation of xp from usb" you find many guides like PeToUsb and etc etc. The newest and easiest utility to perform job does not always come up in the search list.

Download the version vers. 0.2.2 - 15.June.2009 from
http://www.msfn.org/board/install-usb-winsetupfromusb-gui-t120444.html

Why not the newer coz it includes a Formating tool that comes with lots of options... but the version mentioned above comes with two formatting tools one HP USB format tool and PeToUsb format tool...Remember these are tools which can be obtained separately from their official sites but have been merged in this software. (These tools have been removed in the newer version replaced with RMPrepUSB a complex one in my view)

Why not PeToUsb...coz its command line and doesn't work in windows seven.

Now follow the guide.

1. Download The Software WinSetupFromUsb

http://www.msfn.org/board/install-usb-winsetupfromusb-gui-t120444.html

OR
http://www.mediafire.com/?wzznmoy3m4u

2. Format The USB

Ensure you have plugged your usb into fastest port of your pc aka usb 2.0 port.....After running the software select HP Format Tool. Select NTFS (because your installation will be much faster but ntfs reduces the life of usb due to high read write to the index). You can also do quick formatting.

After formatting close this format window and come back again to main window.

3. Copy Windows File
Its better to have copied your files on your hard rather than cd. So where ever you have the files of you windows select its location in the first option.

4. Select Your USB
Now your usb should be automatically selected in this option...if not something is wrong..Try again doing the format step if you are assure usb is properly detected by system and not by this software.

5. Just Select GO

Now enter the GO button and wait for few minutes. After its completed it will prompt you. Exit the software and now you have a boot-able setup of windows in usb.

6. Enable Boot From Usb option in BIOS

Remember to enable usb boot options in BIOS. If you board is old then you are out of luck :(

7. Selection of Options From USB

Boot from usb and a green menu will come up with two options. Select the First Part. Complete the installtion of window as you usually do. Then as the windows reboots the pc dont plug out the usb and again boot from usb. Now this time select the second option. Now complete the GUI setup of windows. When everything is finished you can safely remove your usb and normally boot to your freshly installed.

If you like this guide do tell me so I will aslo try to post How to make a Live Window Usb. (You dont have to install that window on hard. Just plug your usb and the window will run from it)

haven't tried but it got the option. Instead of selecting windows xp source folder from the first option check the third option on right side and select windows seven files.

ya simply if you have a windows runing ie boot your runing windows xp and then run setup of xp from your hard....same can be done if you have a bootable cd so you access the dos...browse to your xp source folder then i386 and run the winnt....the winnt32.exe if you are runing the setup within windows....you can do same for win7 win vis...but you cant install older version from a newer version ie you can run windows seven through xp but cant run xp setup from win 7!

^ isn't that what u want? you can run windows setup from your hard (of course for this purpose you must have windows file copied to you hard first).

^ well can't tell exactly but the files loading in start the one before the partition options come is like 2 to 3 secs.....i have significantly observed this part because i usually get hards with bad media that sometimes aren't detected so its quite frustrating when you boot from cd and it loads and file for 5 minutes and tell you that oh the setup hasn't detected any hard....for the rest of part i think it pretty fast atleast you'll cut 5 to 10 minutes for sure.

but when i reboot, will it know where the setup is? i mean in which drive->location?
Yes it will.....

USBNetBootin
use both softwares u'll see the difference! (though both do the same thing)

@ newton...if u hav no OS installed and want to install OS from HD .....try booting ur SYS from bootable CD..(like win98 CD)...

reach ur location in DOS mode ( d:)>(cd winXP)>(cd winNT)

run the setup file as waqss mentioned...

but their is a problem that ....when u installed with this procedre, the performance of HD is SLOW...u hav to run a file that is ( i forgot the name but its like "Smart Drive or something")...

ya right smaad without that smartdrive.exe you'll setup will crawl like hell.....but if you have run the setup of window through a running window then it will be ok otherwise it is preferable to use cd or usb.....moreover when you run setup through hard the setup copy files in C drive by which it doesn't let you edit partitions like format del etc.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
