I usually dont let them catch dust so no hassle of cleaning. Because if you are going to clean then you have to be extra careful because they can catch scratches easily.

sometimes it a cloth is not enough, specially if you wipe off the lens surface which contains the dust particles it will scratch the lens.

I am quite surprised that you keep your lenses free from dust in Pakistan :D

Not using this for DSLR (don't have any) but bro uses it for his telescope and binoculars:

Amazon.com: Nikon 7072 Lens Pen Cleaning System: Camera & Photo

Works amazingly well.
Yep, that things is pretty good! I bought one from the original makers: LENSPEN is The superior Camera lens cleaning system for all fine optics, rifle scopes, camcorder and camera viewer screens, binoculars (amazon contains too many third party lenses. I myself is new to photography stuff but one of my pro friend told me that if you are living in a place (like Pakistan) where dust is pretty common and on top of that you do outdoor/nature photography then you will need these products to take care of the dust:

- Lenspen
- Air blower (like this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Giottos-GTA...LSPI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348048099&sr=8-1)
- microfibre cloth

You can use the traditional desi methods but I think it's wise to spend a little more in order to keep your 20K+ lenses safe!

Its good to spend 15$ and get 3 lens pens than to tinker with 50K RS lenses :)

I just asked my bro how good it is in cleaning the lenses. He replied: Exceptional.

Also he has a microfiber kit (3x microfiber cloths in one, cleans dust and lint really well). But I won't recommend using it on lenses. He uses it on TV/LCD screens.

ive never had the need to clean my lens either, been 2 years.. just have a uv protector on it which prevents ever having to touch the lens itself.. as for the uv protector, keep the lid on whenver not using and when it still gets dust tissues work fine

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
