The honour 5x is releasing in about a month, maximum. Its released in china, USA release is jan 31 and same with india, and its on the whatmobile site as upoming.

It looks to be the best value for money smartphone in the Pakistani market ( previously was the 4C )

Ive got the cash to buy it, but im a bit confused about the quick charging feature. some sources say it has quick charge 3.0 and others make no mention of the feature entirely.

So im looking for a confirmation if it has QC 3.0 or not, and if the charger in the box supports QC, or otherwise ill purchase a QC 3.0 tronsmart charger.

Maybe a Huawei representative or anyone with Huawei experience can give me a answer.

Accessories like chargers and handsfree are region specific. So I don't think anybody can confirm what's in the box until the phone is officially released in Pakistan.

However, I think it's pretty safe to say that Honor 5X won't have QC 3.0 charger in the box since the chipset (Snapdragon 615) is not QC 3.0 compliant.

The thing with your second statement is that ive been getting conflicting statements EVERYWHERE.

Some articles say the phone comes with a snapdragon 616 and QC3.0

say that the phone comes equipped with a 615 and no mention of any QC ability.

On YouTube most sites state that it has a 615, but they do not mention any QC ability.

As for the chipset, it looks like QC is based purely on implementation. The s6 with a exynos chipset supports QC ( but licenced and renamed to " adaptive fast charging ". You can use a Qualcomm QC charger to fast charge a s6 or note 5 etc )

My current phone ( nexus 5 D820 ) has a snapdragon 800, but in its particular implementation there is no fast charging built into the charging circuit.

Now QC 2.0 would be understandable if its a 615, but if its actually a 616 as some sources state then having QC 3.0 as a feature would not be out of the question.

Otherwise ive really fallen for the phone. It has everything i could want ( other then Qi and a removeable battery ) but for 20-21k rs im willing to forgive all of that. Plus HVEC/ h.265 support in the HW is a huge thing for me.

According to Qualcomm itself, Snapdragon 616 supports QC 2.0 only (same as 615).

I checked that too, it does only support QC 2.0 but then we run into the implementation issue. I suppose it depends on if they decided to implement QC separate from the chipset as samsung has done with the exynos in the s5/6 series and the note series equipped with exynos chips.

If they decided to go with what the chipset already supported and not separately, then i guess that its QC 2.0.

Or it could just end up with absolutely nothing implemented as it is with my nexus 5.

So it is announced now. Jan 31 launch. Costs 30k ( rounded up )

I feel kinda betrayed. Huawei was supposed to offer us awesome brand name phones at good prices, and all they do is just mark it up by 10k. This was the phone that was going to shake up the market and make samsung and the others forced to compete. Then they pull this dog shit outta their ass.

In india it sells for 210 usd, and in usa it also sells for 200 usd.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
