I have nayatel 7mb connection, I am using Tp Link TL-WR940N router. The issue i am facing is that the Cell phones were having issues in connectivity, often cell phones shows connection but unable to use internet then after restarting the router the problem is resolved. Yesterday i updated its firmware after which almost every connected PC is having issue in connectivity, i have to restart the router every time some one connects to router.

I have around 6 Laptops/PC's and around 5 cell phones. Maximum connections simultaneously connected are 7. I also have bounded the MAC address to IP in order to control bandwidth but only for 2 PC's.

Now I am not sure if the problem is with the router itself? the firmware? or the problem is occurring due to MAC binding and Bandwidth control. Any help is appreciated.

Also I am going to buy a new router because i borrowed the current router for few days. So any recommendation is also appreciated.

Bro kindly assign Manual IP's to all your devices weather they are cell phones or laptops and then see what happens, if the problem still persists then leme know.

U mean i should bound all the mac addresses and assign individually IPs to every PC?
you dont have to do any thing with your devices mac addresses, just give them manual ip's. for example: In your PC-1 you'll assign this ip 192.168.1.2 in subnetmask:255.255.255.0 in default gateway:192.168.1.1. Only the main ip will change in every pc you don't have to change the subnetmask and default gateway because they will remain the same like I have written above.

I dont have any problems with my TP-Link (941ND). It's usually connected to 5-6 devices + 2 wired connections. Linksys makes good routers but prepare to spend ~8-9k for something truly better than TP-Link.

Bro go for D-link...this is not a fanboism its my personal experience, plus you can check it on the Internet if you have any objections from my side. TP-link is just cheap nothing more.

Well cheap sounds better :) btw, as for my router problem, what i did yesterday was that i removed all the mac binding addresses and now its working flawlessly, i will let it run till tomorrow to make sure that the problem was with the mac binding not with the firmware, and will check by manually assigning IPs as suggested by ibbu tomorrow night.

In network the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is the standard protocol for finding a host´s MAC Address when only its IP Address is known. Via modifying IP Address or MAC Address to achieve ARP cheat, it will be a large challenge for data transmitting normally. From the way of affecting network connection, there are two possible ARP attacks, one is cheating router and other one is cheating computers. Of course, the two attacks may occur at the same time. Anyhow, once there is ARP cheat in network, the data between computers and router will be sent to wrong MAC Address and the connection can’t establish normally.
this is exactly the problem i am getting, the issue is i cannot set my PC's to static IP because mostly used PC's are laptops and in office the settings are on automatic ip's... I also need to limit the bandwidth of 2 PC's.
