[HELP] PS4 giving error code ws-37397-9 since a day or two

Its Zone who is blocking access to PSN !! . 2 guys in my Office are having same issues , they are able to play for a few hours untill the PSN Store website gets blocked and they can`t play online

Hi,
Actually PSN is using Public IP addresses reputation checks in firewall. So when ever any attempt to login from blacklisted IP address is made, then r PS4 give generic error "ws-37397-9" to that user.. This is happening to almost all zong 4G users.
Reason is that ALL Zong 4G users are being translated (NAT) to Zong Public IP address range, which has been marked blacklisted by most of security vendors.

So neither your router not Zong is blocking any thing, This is PSN which has marked blacklist Zong Public IP Address. I also got this issue and had no other option to switch ISP.

ok so i dont have ZONG but ptcl 12mb internet connection and past few days im unable to download updates etc on the ps4.. it just connects and says failed and tells me this error with says data is corrupted, i have rebuilt database, resetted router but to no avail same ERROR !

Ever since the firmware upgrade (4.00), I have been receiving the same error when downloading updates through PTCL. Fortunately, I also have another connection (Wateen) which gives me no trouble when downloading updates. So there must be a problem with PTCL. The rest of the online gaming is fine on PTCL.

hey i know what main problem is its your zong 4g problem because ps4 does not accept wingles and 3rd type nat your ip has been blocked by psn because we are using zong 4g even though whenever i played gta 5 online it gives me this problem and i also contacted zong provider they said we just sold you our wifi we just guarantee if you can download and watch movies we cannot guarantee if you can play games and they dont even know what is nat type so kick your zong wingle and be a ptcl gamer because ptcl is good for gaming and yea buy asus router

I am facing the same issue with ZONG, basically PSN using strict firewall rules to block bad IPs which were used in the past to do malicious activity / attacks on PSN hence one of the ZONG network octet got banned (someone might used it in the past for some sort of illegal activity on PSN). PTCL is working fine.

To resolve this issue, zong needs to coordinate with PSN..which will never going to happen, obviously!

For users with a PTCL connection, there is a quick which resolves the issue which I tried and tested myself.

Sign-out of PSN
Turn off your router
Wait a few mins
Restart router
Establish a new connection on your PS4
and hopefully it will connect this time and stay trouble free, repeat if it happens again.

I did it once which was last week and its working fine up till now, besides my ptcl connection -.-

i am having the same issue also..bought a ps4 yesterday and from the moment i turned it on i am facing this issue..i am using zong 4g wingle..tried everything..changed dns..fixed ip..wingle reset..nothing works..


plzzz guys...any help would be appretiated

Facing the same issue. I can get it to work on Charji and Zong but all of them give me NAT Type 3 and I can't play cod on them at all. Any ideas on how to get this working on a DSL connection? (I don't have PTCL.)

Any fix yet? I'm getting the same error on my brand new ps4. The issue disappears once I connect my ps4 through mobile data. I want to eventually stay connected on my ISP wifi though.

i had the same issue, i held on for two three weeks and it solved on its own !

i think its ptcls own backend fault which it is and sometimes they are working mantainence etc so they change some things at backend but im glad it solved on its own because ptcl helpline on this issue is NONE i mean they dont even get what you are talking about lol

I am using StormFiber facing IP ban from PSN

Guys i am also facing the same issue of IP ban with error WS 37397-9 . This is too much i changed my IP to static . For a matter of time my IP worked but within hours it got banned again . ISP cant help anymore they cannot change IP again n again .
I tried contacting PSN . They wont help even . So i was thinking to switch to brainnet . Anyway advices ??
