Help needed regarding XP SP3!!!

Can any one tell me how to install SP3 in a pirated copy of XP without uninstalling the wndows... Currently runing on SP2. I will really appreciate ur help... Desperately need this...

yes, i had two patches on my local sharing web of connect communications, 1st) which made windows genuine 2nd) which was for update of win xp tp xp sp3, thts the way how i did it

^ There isnt any genuine or not genuine issue in installing Windows Xp Service Pack III Just download the Sp3 or copy it from any of ur friends computer who has sp3 downloaded and saved into a flash drive.

Install the sp3 and u r good to go.

^ yeah just get standalone installer for SP3 and its good 2 go!

But you better should install a new fresh copy, it won't make much difference otherwise. The other day I downloaded XP Pro SP3 from this torrent site and man this version is crazy fast!

i have a problem i dl sp3 final build from microsoft site and others its giving me a error
extraction failed file corrupt .

what i did .

download and installed windows update softwares and critical updates.
ran windows integerated diagnostic tool to check memory errors before windows start up.
downloaded from several sites .
repaired registry errors .
ran xp in diagnostic mode through msconfig booted xp same extraction failed .

i searched well found a post saying open in run

eventvwr.msc

in system

to check for drive errors but didnt said anything how to solve them and i have warning and error icons in them .

what to do next .

run xp in safe mode and run the sp3 installer?
download from rapidshare with a zip file coz files get corrupted when not properly downloaded ?
install windows xp service pack 2 again ?
( ANOTHER POST I READ SAID to tweak up the memory module through memtest86+ advance memory diagnostic tool , in order to work it , it should be burned on a cd with boot option . which will start by booting when starting the system and the post in the forum said to tweak or enhance the module i dont know something like that to solve this sp3 extraction failure ) ?

^ Babloo dont buy on these things There is a VLK Version of the Windows XP Sp3 prebuilt Available on rapidshare as well as in torrent if u want any reference here to help u always PMing u the link to that see if u can download it and burn it on a CD its a One CD Iso and install it u r good to go no need to worry abt the sp3 anymore.

I wanted to ask whether the "Genuine Advantage Notification" update is included in Xp sp3 because if it is not then I will install SP3. Please reply, anyone.

It is included in the SP3 and if u have already By passed it than there is no need to worry u just need to install the sp3 and u r good to go.

ok i have very strange problem with service pack 3 - ive installed SP2 and have that genuine crack as well. i got a sp3 standalone pack from friend - i tried it once it installed and asked for restart - after restarting the system goes to xp logo and then restarts - it doesnt even go to safemode.

so i tried it again with a different set of win xp sp2. but same thing - either the SP3 standalon thing has some thing wrong or i dont know.

by the way bought a pre-installed copy of SP3 and installed it that worked fine but it was beta version.
