[HELP] Antec 430W & HD6870 - Is this PSU enough?

guys a little help here needed urgently i have following pc

core i5 2400k No ocking at all and no plans either
4gb ram one stick corsair
asus motherboard p68v

2 dvd drives
2x 240mm fans non led
and 5 usb drives

it would be very nice of you guys if you can tell me that can my 430 w antec handle a 6870 his with these things already drawing power from it i mean not to overclock the card in future but i want to play at highest settings possible
other option would be 6850

Oh bhai your psu doesnt have enough pci-e connectors even to run the 6870,dont risk your system with it. better get a 500w unit from xigmatek.

imo while your system may run on the 450w true power psu, but it is highly recommended that you get a 500w psu, as there should be enough headroom above the maximum needs of your system
1-PSU capacitors may degrade with time & reduce efficiency, resulting in low power than required & then u have a problem
2-you may need to overclock your card in the near future. even if currently u r not planning on overclocking, there is that possibility that you may not want to upgrade, in that case not being able to overclock due to a weak psu will be a nuisance

By this, you mean to say that the people at hardwaresecrets.com are noob and stupid and the Antec VP-450 is not a good PSU ?

The VP-450 couldn't get 80+ certification as it has no Active PFC. Otherwise it's one heck of a power supply capable of delivering upto 553 Watts max power
Tell you what, I'm currently on a system which has a 5850 ( 6870 TDP is also 151 Watt ) running on an Antec Earthwatts 430. ( See my PC Specs )
Need I post the same link again and again ?

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
