Do you have any other Router rather than your current router ? And what Package are you using 2Mb or 4Mb ?

No, I donot. I have Orange package (3mb). The thing is, I get full 3mbps on direct downloads, but I can feel that browsing is not 3mbps, and even the ptcl smart tv app says that I have 1mbps connection.

I get 90-100kbps download on torrent. Today I discovered something new. When I goto Router settings page, and on network, I goto LAN and change my ip-address to 192.168.1.1 (from 192.168.0.1) the download speed on torrent gets to 250kbps, but 15-30 minutes, it gets back to standard 120kbps...

I know router is doing something to cap my torrents. Any solution?

If you are using uTorrent, you can change the port and use forced encryption. Try that first.

By the way I believe that your ISP clearly declares that they limit the download speed of torrents, right?

Yes they do but what about browsing? Why am I getting just 1mbps on speedtest servers except connect server which shows full 3.5mbps? Ptcl smart tv app also shows 1mbps

Regarding your first issue, I do face the same sometimes. But it usually resolves on its own after a few hours. Try again after a few hours or maybe at night after restarting your router or reconnecting your Ethernet wire. If it still doesn't resolve then your best bet it to contact Connect Communications directly via their email address because your dealer is not helping you much in this case This is their address [email protected]

Tell them your issue in detail and they'll guide you further.

And no, it is not Windows Firewall's fault. This issue occurs on my end too. But resolves spontaneously.

Connect Communications throttle torrents through out the day i.e. they wont let you download them at the full speed your connection can provide.

The only workaround is that they remove throttling around 3AM, so reconnect your Ethernet wire or if you have router then restart it and you should get easily around 450-500kb/sec. Sometimes you have to reconnect several times to achieve good speed.

Second but not confirmed workaround is to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) as mentioned by someone here in this thread but I cant confirm this as I haven't used any.

Need help

1. I have a connection from CONNECT. (for some reason Router is unreachable but I can connect through WIFI).

2. I have another connection from PTCL. I have given some connections to my friends from this PTCL broadband.

Problem is:
I want dodear and other local webservers of CONNECT Network to be shared with my friends which is connected through PTCL modem and 8 port switchers.

I tried by making Bridge connection of (CONNECT) Wifi and (PTCL) Local area network but getting "unexpected Error"
