Got SCAMMED on OLX. Any advice for further action?

Stupidity got the best of me. I was looking for a PS4 game on OLX and the price was too good to be true. Since I've had many successful deals on OLX in the past, I did not hesitate to go through this one as well. Turns out, the guy did not have the actual game and has blocked me.

Is there any way to track down the number? Apparently he's still continuing with the scam with the same number. Screenshot of one of his ads below.

If anything, I'd be worried if you didn't get scammed yet.


I've been scammed twice the same way.
Once, a deal was too good I couldnt resist, the other, the guy pulled out a gun at a meeting spot. LMAO

Yeah it's just that I consider myself as extremely cautious and aware when it comes to online scams. They got me this time. I've been laughing at myself now.

I've reported to OLX and filled the online form on FIA cyber crime website, with all the proof. Proper action tou khair I doubt kuch hoga. Nothing gets done in this country unless you have 'contacts'.

Went to the PS of that area, they took the report and said they'll call me if they ever come up with anything.

Years now and no call

But yeah, that eased most of the anxiety after reporting.

I second that! I was a victim of mobile snatching in a very busy park near my house. I got robbed at gun point. The police post was hardly 100ft away from where it happened. When I explained the situation to the police the officer said, App ki jaan bach gayi hai mobile aur ajaengay. I was WTH dude.....

I only do olx deals face to face or if the buyer is ready to pay in advance .I don't accept cash .only online bank transfers .
It reduces the risk somewhat ,

I don't care if it is 5 % or whatever .my thing gets sold within 5 days and on the price I demand .after all it is about selling ,not some beauty contest where u need to attract 95% crowd
