Gaming = Fazool Kharchi ??

hey December 21st if u think its fazool kharchi then sell ur consoles and give that money to homeless people and for the most of us pg gamer community its away of life. and buy ur self a yoyo to play with.

Most of the people here seem to think spending money on their hobbey ie. games is justified because it is their hobby.

its natural for a human being to go into different phases of live love/gaming/friends/addiction
but it depends on the individual your looking at.

it may be their way of lifestyle/hence they resist to change thier lifestyle

this logical reasoning fits reasonably well for the person, but to another it is considered 'fazool karchi' ie as that person feels as though that money has been wasted.



i mean the other month, one person bought is so-called 'Beast' computer with quad core,radeon 4870. i consider this has fazool karchi because it does not have any value for me if i buy it/

Everyone has their own growing up or environment thingy, u see guys hang out with girls buy them stuff/people watering out cash for gaming rigs/

so yes i guess thing is will go on and on but the only change is opinions, so it matters on the individual

i myself am a budget gamer, i mean u dont need quad-core rigs just to enjoy gaming, i play good ol counter strike, playing it on my pc for years

so i am just saying that, it depends on the type of person

Man what were u thinking asking a question like that on a GAMING FORUM ? do u think anyones gonna admit it that ''Spending money on games is Fuzool kharchi'' ? I dont think so . No one will agree !! But its a fact that spending time + money on video games and stuff is UTTER USELESS !!! And ive heard shit like it teaches kids blah blah blah ..... thats just plain shit ! Its a complete waste of time and money ! All it makes us is lazy and violent and what not .... so i believe spending time playing sports or helpin out others is better ! Gaming is USELESS !! Nuff said ! Oh and plz dont kill me now, Gamers !!

You are speaking in the same way like our local mullah speaks about how bad is watching a TV etc blah blah. it doesn't matter whether it's a gaming website and we like games, most of the peoples who provided their opinions here were based on the common sense unlike yours..

I have been a gaming person since i was introduced to GTA Vice city before that i used to play good ol sega games on PC and believe me i have never owned a console except Atari so my parents and i think that it is not fuzool kharchi Thank God.

to Kratos and others who said that I think gaming is a fazool kharchi, I never said that.I said Excess of everything is bad,If you spend too much on anything whether on cars or decks,on faast foods or girls...that is fazool kharchi but if you stay in limits then this is ok.I have over 250 ps2 cds, hundreds of ps1, more than 100 movies and 50 + wrestling events.

I just wanted to know the opinions of others.I m a gaming freak.I never regret spending on them If I stay in limits.I bought 360 and convinced my parents by saying that Gaming is my hobby and there is nothing wrong to continue or promote your hobby.Morever My father never stops me from buying disks if i stay in LIMITS.He bought me everything and he knows that gaming is my hobby.AND I LOVE GAMES.

well bro it depends as you saw Jayzzy's post and he had good points there....a balance has to be struck.It's that if you are willing and able to afford gaming then there isn't much of a problem there but it's the overexcessive spending that makes it a bit dumb i mean let's say you can run a game fine on 720p with a pc of let's say 35k but no you wanna be L337 and get a monster of a PC worth alot more that might be taken into consideration but then again passion is passion...i've got a passion for cellphones but guess what the total amount that i've spent on cellphones until now is 30k....well the cellphones they were worth 1.5 lakh and this is from 2003 onwards and you know how i got em well i used to exchange em and got used ones i.e in good condition and just paid 1 or 2 k extra on the older ones to get deals so if one really looks into it there's alot that can be done.Sure somethings you've got to get new but you can really cut down on some expenditures if you take them from a diferent point of view.

paying for our studies is and everything else is a big burden on parents and MASHALLAH most of us here should be thanking God for what we have i.e one should always look beneath him and not above to realize how lucky he/she is..

getting back to the point here well gaming isn't fazool kharchi i.e if you've got interest in it and don't sacrifice on other things it's not cuz everyone has his thing i mean i don't watch much TV i use that time for gaming and it helps me release stress aswell.I used to game way more back in the old days but then i found a love for soccer and take part in that aswell a BALANCE again has to be struck.If you observe from your friends then most of them get some freedoms at an early age which you don't have but you might in turn have some freedom which they don't have so all parents have some mindset about their kids....

One SHOULD however minimize gaming expenditure (esp. on hardware) when they are NOT earning themselves. Thora bahut halka phula gaming PC (or a core console instead of the special edition etc etc) and a couple of games a month is fine I guess.
