FTTH (GPON) in DHA Lahore Phase 1 2 3

So after trying to get a fiber connection unsuccessfully and trying to get a reason why no company has even started deploying fiber in these regions, i found out that its actually the DHA management which isn't giving the companies the permission to deploy hence they have started to skip these phases. From what i know at least these companies are/were interested Optix, Brain Net and Storm fiber.

Again i don't get it why, as i talked with optix they said they were planning on deploying but since not getting permission they are not planning for now they already have permission in Phase 5 and 6, now there are going to model town and EME since they got their permission. Either DHA is asking a lot of money for these phases or wateen and ptcl doing something to try and maintain their monopoly.

The max we can do is email these companies support department that we want their connection which then they can show to DHA authorities to help get permission. [MENTION=55554]shahanawp[/MENTION]

P.S at least two companies fiber is passing from right outside my house wateen and multinet but again no permission so no connection

as someone that has been living in Phase 2 DHA Lahore for the past 30 years trust me i am super fucking pissed off at DHA Management

Frankly i think we need to get all the residents of DHA together and hold a protest against these management bastards

I called Stormfiber Brainnet all told me onething "DHA ka theka (fees) bohot ziada hai so we cant enter"

Been using shit internet for decades

I agree DHA is getting a bit too greedy, a little while ago heard from a wateen guy that first DHA used to take yearly license renewal fee from them to provide services but now they take MONTHLY renewal fees. Its ridiculous ! I was thinking can we write an application and get residents to sign it to allow other companies (if that would help) to enter so that the competition would improve services for the residents as thats the eventual goal of management as well that to serve the residents.

I have emailed Optix though as a request to enter these phases which they can show to DHA management to help get them permission.

not sure if its greed or something else but its a massive job and phase 1 - 4 our always jammed up. i remember when Wateen laid down their cables it was a mess all over DHA. I guess DHA want to avoid that.

They may want to avoid that but eventually they will have to give permission (hopefully) and the rush would only increase with time
