First Bank Account - Any recommendations?

Hey guys... After working for about 8 months, I've saved up... zero rupees.

But I have some cash and a regular income so I was thinking that I should open up an account (so I can stop throwing away everything I earn!). I need recommendations! What bank to choose, what kinda account to open.

I'll initially deposit about 150k.

Only SCB debit works online but of course if you open an account in SCB you'll have to face ridiculous charges and incompetent attitude. (Most of the people open EasySavers account)

If you want great service, open up in Faysal bank.

No that means at all times there should be minimum 25k in your account, otherwise they will deduct fees.

As far as I know only SCB's Debit card work online. However I do not know much about their quality of service. I went there once to transfer some cash and it felt like a govt. school ki fees jama kernay wala idara
Bank Al-Habib's service was good, HBL is fine too.

And about AskariBank, never go there.

I want a debit card that I can easily use online, but I also want good service!

After been through MCB, UBL, Summit, Faysal, SCB, Askari, Habib Metro, HBL i can say the best out of lot are HBL (which i am currently using and plan to stick) and than Faysal. SCB has shit service now and lot of charges, Askari atleast the branch i had account in (Atrium Mall) had the worst service of all.

Yes I mean that.. You have to maintain at least 25K in account to get All services Free. You may go for Regular Current account which is Free of Limitations. I haven't tried Visa Debit Card Online, So can't say anything about it.

I also plans to open an account in SCB. I want to open a new account because Meezan Bank mispelled my account title in their system and now they say its not possible to change.

My primary reason to open account in SCB is that they have online facilities and i need to use their debit card online.

my dear brother my personal recommendation for you opening a bank account

if you are going to using the bank account for International purposes like transaction all around the world

then with such criteria in mind go for Standard Chartered Bank World Renowned

and if your purpose is just to secure up your self and future savings

my utter most recommendation for you is to direct go Allied Bank

And open a Personal Savings Account

they will also give you reliability and Visa Card its very much affordable
