BTW, the music has reached new levels of awesomeness.

You take the best of Crisis Core's main theme and give it a mash against the best of FFX's To Zanarkand, some tracks echoing a bit of FF9's You're not alone. The final fight with a hint of One Winged Angel's pressure - everything done in a wonderfully awesome mix, with its own personality.

If that's not enough, you can choose to listen to ACTUAL tracks of Final Fantasies of the past while on road or on foot.

All that makes it the best Music in any Final Fantasy (for me), by default making it the best in any game.

Read some of the comments for timestamps of the absolute best the game had to offer.

Final Fantasy XV's Episode Gladio DLC release date confirmed

It has been two months since Final Fantasy XV launched, and now at the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary event in Japan director Hajime Tabata has revealed new information on upcoming DLC for the game.

Episode Gladio, the first proper piece of story DLC (as opposed to limited-time events like the currently ongoing Moogle Chocobo Festival), is officially launching March 28. Based on the screenshots shown off it appears that Cor will be joining Gladiolus for at least part of this episode.

Additionally, it was revealed that Episode Prompto will be coming three months later, in June, though they have not given a concrete date for that yet. We see a new screenshot showing Prompto wearing a thick coat in what appears to be a chilly environment, but that’s all at this time.

Before either of those will be a new booster DLC, coming February 21. This update includes a brand new Power Rangers-esque super outfit for each of our boys, which make them temporarily invincible. The suits can be used for 30 minutes at a time, then require 24 hours real-time to recharge.

Final Fantasy XV PS4 Pro 60 FPS Patch Dated; Trailer Teases Gladio and Prompto’s DLC

During a new Active Time Report broadcast from Tokyo, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata presented a trailer of the upcoming updates for the game. On top of the trailer, Tabata announced that an update patch, coming on February 21st, will include the following improvements:

• PS4 Pro support at 1080p/60 FPS - @Chandoo
• Time-limited quests
• Level cap raise to 120
• 200 pictures will be the limit instead of 150
• It’ll be possible to use a music player when riding a chocobo

Tabata-san mentioned that the patch will feature 60 FPS tops on PS4 Pro, but it’ll be almost always there, and it’ll be very enjoyable. The time-limited quests will basically be quests available only for a limited time. For this update, they’ll be mobhunts, but in the future there will be more, including fishing ones.

We also got the lowdown of the Booster Pack DLC coming on February 21st. The Booster Pack+, which is exclusive to the season pass, will include the following:

• Buster Sword (sword)
• Dragonmod (fishing rod)
• Aviol (fishing rod component)

The Booster pack, which will be free for everyone who purchased the game, will actually come at a later time, and will include the Magitek Exosuits for the four bros, granting invincibility for a limited time.

no really isn't it a bit disappointing that even the premium console cant promise a definitive FFXV experience? must MS fix everything
on a side note, there is a rumor going on abt a PC ver of the game. if true then THAT would be the definitive experience

I say wait even longer. By the time 8K is standard, the PS5 will have a FFXV OHD (Octa HD) Definitive Edition released. Then, one might finally play it

Reading, how does it work.

I don't know guys, I spent over 50 hours with FFXV and it's a game where if you love it, you will enjoy it even on the Xbox One. If you don't, then the Pro patch wouldn't fix it for you making it magically better.

That said, yeah, I will replay it when I upgrade to a Pro or PS5 or PC to get a better experience when it's available. But that's not something that can make a naysayer into a lover. It's a love it/hate it affair. Just putting that point out there.

Final Fantasy XV 1.05 patch now available on PS4

Keep in mind that once the game is patched, you won’t be able to use your updated saves with the older versions of the game.

You can find the full patch notes below:

• Higher level cap (up to 120)
• Increased camera roll capacity (store up to 200 photos)

If you had issue with.

* Frame Pacing and Judder
* Jaggies and Shimmering

Then I will say that the jump to Pro is definitely worth it. Of course it is almost 100% recommend if you are jumping from 1080p display to 4K with a Pro since games like FFXV and Horizon Zero Dawn are not to be missed on 4K TV with HDR.

However if you never had any issues with the jaggies on regular PS4 or the frame pacing, then you can avoid it. But the IQ is super clean on the Pro and looks so good that I was in a disbelief. It transforms the experience for me but I am also one that notices things like aliasing/jaggies.
[MENTION=26]Chandoo[/MENTION]: As someone who played the game on regular PS4 (60+ hours) and then opted for the HQ mode on Pro (20 hours), I have to say the frame pacing issues are exaggerated on GAF. Just play it in HQ mode.
