Sorry if this has been posted before but i haven't seen it sooo:

http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/media/benchmark/na/

Most everyone has gotten low scores and no one i know has been able to get to the top tier. Well Ps3 ftw i just need to wait for a better connection /sigh

This might just turn into Age of Conan requiring a high-end computer just to play. But knowing SE they probably screwed up something in the benchmark :)

Heres my benchmark for reference for the people interested in the game.

Don't think the benchmark gives you a choice of choosing a resolution. The scores are meaningless unless they give you a frame rate analysis with it. I checked the FPS myself with fraps. The benchmark also runs in a window, not an ideal way to judge performance. This is with E8400 mildly overclocked to 3.6Ghz.

LOW = 1280x720 = ~50FPS (average)
HIGH = 1920x1080 = ~45FPS (average)

Game seems to be mostly dependent on CPU. HIGH only seems to natively increase the resolution. Couldn't notice any enhanced graphical effects.

here's the scale:

[8000 and over] Extremely High Performance Easily capable of running the game on the highest settings.

[5500–7999] Very High Performance Easily capable of running the game. Should perform exceptionally well, even at higher resolutions.

[4500-5499] High Performance Easily capable of running the game. Should perform well, even at higher resolutions.

[3000-4499] Fairly High Performance Capable of running the game on default settings. Consider switching to a higher resolution depending on performance.

[2500-2999] Standard Performance Capable of running the game on default settings.

[2000-2499] Slightly Low Performance Capable of running the game, but may experience some slowdown. Adjust settings to improve performance.

[1500-1999] Low Performance Capable of running the game, but will experience considerable slowdown. Adjusting settings is unlikely to improve performance.

[Under 1500] Insufficient Performance Does not meet specifications for running the game.

what setup are you guys running? i doubt my pc can run this oh well go PS3 :)

Donno i m lost!!
^^benchmark demos r usualy released BEFORE the game itself to gve people an idea abt hw the game wil perform on their systems.abt the second part,i repeat THIS IS A FF MMO.it has absolutely nothing to do with any other FF games our there.also evry new FF game is a stand alone game in itself with a totally new plot,story and characters but there is one exception(FF X2).

    Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
