Browsing is fine now but ling has increased bu 50-80 ms

Oh man looks like I won't be getting mine till October.. I applied end of July in Block 4 Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi.
I just hope the internet is good and stable.

The guy that did the installation said he had to wire up 3 more houses that day. No further work has been done yet.
Furthermore, he said that I'd need a new router as they won't use one from PTCL (I did ask this initially before applying for the connection).
I'm pretty sure the browsing, streaming and downloading will be pretty good. I'm more concerned about gaming.

Yeah man. Downloading browsing latencies are perfect. My friend is using one andt he got after 20 days only, and mine is still pending after 2 months.

Guys I need help, I paid installation fee on 6 july and no word from fiberlink till now, I live in Johar Town Lahore and there are multiple connections near me which leads me to believe either they have completely forgotten about my connection or that they dont give a sh*t, this is soo frustrating..

Yup the speed doubles after 2:30am till 10:00am

I called them and they said they now give connection in township(my area). But after reading all the reviews. I'm not too sure if i should get this connection. I get 8mbps for almost 4.5k on ptcl. That too isn't always 8mbps. Its 4-7mbps and upload is only 1-2 mbps.

Get it. It's 7 heavens above PTCL apart from the waiting time between paying and installation.

You'll get it eventually. Need to keep calling sales department every day two times and they'll eventually grow tired of it and prioritise you.

I can't afford to lose internet as i work with my clients using it. Neither can i afford to pay both fiberlink and ptcl at same time. If it was actually deployed during 30 days i would have get it. I'm waiting till their service gets better or stormfiber comes in my area.

I have 2 options
1. To use both Fiberlink 12Mbps and ptcl (but 5mbps)
2. Cut PTCL and get 40Mbps Fiberlink connection.

Need to know if I get 40mbps will it lag if someone else is streaming videos or downloading.

P.s I'm still waiting for my fiberlink connection.

What area did you get it in? I called them yesterday they told me that I won't be getting it till the end of September..
When did you pay them?
For the router, I got a TP link WR940N

I'm on 40 and ping remains stable on Wi-Fi if there isn't heavy usage. On Ethernet, I have uTorrent on and ping doesn't move a centimetre. I've tested a lot of servers. It's great in that respect for me. Try and get Ethernet if heavy usage.

You don't have to pay monthly until it's installed.
